Rechargeable work / clip light

Description

The Rechargeable Work Cliplight sold by Medisave is the Ledlenser W1R Work, an ultra-compact, rechargeable clip light delivering up to 220 lumens. It features a 360° swivel joint and swivelling lamp head for precise, flexible illumination, and can be mounted either with a robust clip or integrated magnet on clothing, caps or metal surfaces. The light offers two brightness levels (standard power 220 lm, low power 60 lm) with runtimes of approximately 1.5 hours and 7 hours respectively. An integrated lithium-ion battery charges quickly via USB-C and includes charge/battery status indication, low battery warning and a transport lock. The W1R Work is dust- and splash-resistant to IP54, drop-tested to 1 m and designed for everyday professional use by tradespeople, security staff, emergency responders and DIY users.

Bnefits

  • Ultra-compact and lightweight clip light that is easy to carry and wear during work
  • Powerful 220-lumen output with a 60-lumen low mode for extended runtime
  • 360° swivel joint and swivelling lamp head to direct light exactly where needed
  • Flexible mounting using a strong clip or integrated magnet on clothing, caps or metal surfaces
  • Integrated Li-ion rechargeable battery with USB-C charging for convenience
  • Battery and charge-level indicator plus low-battery warning to avoid unexpected shutdown
  • Transport lock function to prevent accidental activation in pockets or bags
  • Rugged design with IP54 ingress protection and 1 m drop test rating for tough work environments
  • Operates in a wide temperature range (approx. −20 °C to +40 °C) suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Indications

  • Hands-free illumination for tradespeople working in confined or dimly lit areas
  • Use by policemen, paramedics, security personnel and emergency responders for task lighting on the move
  • Inspection work on machinery, vehicles, plant and equipment where compact directional light is required
  • DIY, home maintenance and hobby use when a small, rechargeable clip light is preferred to a handheld torch
  • Work environments where attachment to clothing, caps or metallic surfaces improves safety and ergonomics

Composition

  • Body: impact-resistant housing (e.g. polycarbonate or equivalent engineered plastic) with textured grip surface
  • Light source: high-quality white COB LED module (approx. 12 W class) with colour temperature around 6000–7500 K and CRI ~70
  • Optics: integrated work-light style front lens over COB LED for broad area illumination
  • Power source: integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack (approx. 3.7 V, ~0.74 Ah as per technical data)
  • Mounting hardware: robust spring clip and integrated magnet for attachment to fabric and ferromagnetic surfaces
  • Sealing and mechanical features to meet IP54 dust/splash protection and IK07-class impact resistance

Formulation

  • Rechargeable LED work / clip light with two electronic brightness modes (standard and low)
  • Single white LED work-light configuration with wide, even beam designed for close-range tasks
  • Top switch user interface including power, mode selection and transport lock functions

Packaging

  • Supplied as a single Ledlenser W1R Work rechargeable clip light in retail box packaging
  • Includes USB-C charging cable as standard in-box accessory
  • Printed documentation such as quick-start or operating instructions and warranty information
  • Manufacturer item number 502810 printed on packaging with colour: black

Usage

  • Charge the integrated Li-ion battery fully before first use using the supplied USB-C cable and a suitable USB power source; a full charge takes around 120 minutes.
  • Attach the light using the robust clip on clothing, caps, straps or similar, or use the built-in magnet to mount it on appropriate metal surfaces.
  • Switch the light on using the top switch and cycle between standard power (approx. 220 lm) and low power (approx. 60 lm) to select the desired brightness.
  • Use the 360° swivel joint and swivelling lamp head to direct the beam precisely onto the work area.
  • Enable the transport lock (as described in the instructions) when carrying the light in a bag or pocket to prevent accidental activation.
  • Monitor the battery and charge-level indicators; recharge when the low-battery warning is triggered or illumination becomes noticeably weaker.
  • Operate the device only within the specified temperature range (approximately −20 °C to +40 °C) and keep the USB-C port cover closed during use to maintain IP54 protection.
  • Clean the housing with a soft, slightly damp cloth if required, avoiding solvents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Do not attempt to open or replace the integrated battery; contact the manufacturer or an authorised service partner at end of life and dispose of according to local battery regulations.

Contraindications

  • Not suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres or where ATEX-approved equipment is required
  • Do not use if the housing, lens or USB-C connector is visibly damaged or cracked
  • Avoid directing the beam into eyes at close range, particularly in standard (high) power mode
  • Not designed as a primary life-safety or medical examination light in critical care settings
  • Do not immerse in water; IP54 rating covers dust and splashing, not full submersion

Adverse Effects

  • Temporary visual discomfort or glare if light is shone directly into the eyes
  • Potential skin or eye irritation if the device is used despite severe physical damage leading to sharp edges or exposed components
  • Risk of overheating or malfunction if charged with non-compliant or faulty USB power sources
  • Reduced battery runtime and lifespan if routinely stored fully discharged or exposed to extreme temperatures

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and excessive heat sources
  • Avoid prolonged storage in temperatures outside the recommended −20 °C to +40 °C operating range
  • Keep the light switched off and transport lock engaged when stored in bags or toolboxes
  • Store away from corrosive chemicals, oils or solvents that could damage the housing, lens or seals
  • If storing for extended periods, recharge the battery periodically in line with general Li-ion care recommendations
