Description

Aquashine PTX Revofil (2x2ml) is a CE-marked, peptide-enriched, non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid injectable gel designed as a universal multi-level bio-revitalising complex with a pronounced biolifting effect. It combines sodium hyaluronate 15 mg/ml (1.5%) with a Skin Rejuvenating Complex of biomimetic peptides, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, coenzymes and nucleic acids. Aquashine PTX is indicated for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, restoration and remodelling of facial contours, and comprehensive skin rejuvenation. The peptide complex and HA stimulate new collagen synthesis and inhibit its degradation, leading to increased density and elasticity of skin, muscles and fascia, while additional components provide antioxidant protection, restore intradermal balance and improve hydration, radiance and skin tone.

Bnefits

  • Corrects moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and helps restore facial shape and contours.
  • Provides a pronounced biolifting effect with improved skin density and elasticity.
  • Delivers skin brightening and radiance, helping to even out skin tone and improve complexion.
  • Deeply hydrates and improves skin turgor through non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid (15 mg/ml).
  • Stimulates synthesis of new collagen and helps prevent its breakdown via a peptide complex.
  • Antioxidant vitamins, minerals and coenzymes protect against photo-damage and oxidative stress.
  • Helps smooth dynamic and static wrinkles including periorbital, forehead and smoker’s lines.
  • Improves appearance of post-acne atrophic scars and other scarring deformities, and can be used as preparation for resurfacing procedures.
  • Prolongs and enhances the effects of botulinum toxin therapy and supports muscle relaxation for resistance to botulinum therapy.
  • Suitable for use on face, neck, décolletage and hands to improve hydration, elasticity, brightness and fine lines.

Indications

  • Moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (e.g., nasolabial folds, marionette lines, static forehead wrinkles).
  • Age-related skin changes including loss of elasticity, sagging and decreased skin density.
  • Dull, uneven complexion and age-related pigmentation of various origins.
  • Rosacea-prone skin and redness (as part of overall skin revitalisation).
  • Dilated pores and occasional breakouts in the context of photo-damaged or ageing skin.
  • Post-acne atrophic scars and other scarring deformities (e.g., postoperative scars), and as preparation for skin resurfacing.
  • Anti-ageing therapy and prevention of involutional skin changes with facial and tissue remodelling.
  • Illumination and smoothing of skin in perioral region, nasolabial folds, neck, décolleté and backs of hands.
  • Hydration, radiance/lightening, elasticity, wrinkle and fine-line improvement in the treated areas.

Usage

  • Medical device CE; for professional use only by dermatologists, aesthetic physicians or other suitably trained medical practitioners.
  • Inject into the epidermis and superficial to medium dermis according to manufacturer and clinical guidelines.
  • Recommended injection areas: face, neck and décolletage; may also be used on hands according to clinical indication.
  • Use appropriate injection techniques such as micro-papular, nappage, linear threading or serial puncture to distribute product evenly along wrinkles and in areas requiring biorevitalisation and lifting.
  • Typical treatment protocol: 3 sessions spaced approximately 4 weeks apart; maintenance sessions may be performed depending on patient response and clinical judgement.
  • Maximum lifting effect is typically observed around 2 weeks after each procedure.
  • Prior to injection, thoroughly cleanse and disinfect the treatment area and maintain strict aseptic technique.
  • Do not inject into blood vessels, areas of active infection or inflammation, or compromised skin.
  • Adjust dose and injection depth according to area treated, thickness of skin and severity of ageing changes; avoid overcorrection.
  • After treatment, gently massage treated areas if indicated to ensure even distribution and minimise lumpiness; provide standard post-procedure advice, including avoidance of excessive sun, heat and strenuous exercise for a short period.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to hyaluronic acid, peptides, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, nucleotides or any other component of the formulation.
  • Active skin infections, inflammatory conditions, herpes lesions or dermatologic diseases at or near the injection site.
  • History of severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis to injectable aesthetic products.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, consistent with general precautions for elective aesthetic injections.
  • Uncontrolled systemic diseases, autoimmune disorders or immune suppression, unless assessed and cleared by a physician.
  • Bleeding disorders or ongoing anticoagulant/antiplatelet therapy that significantly increases bleeding risk, unless managed under medical supervision.
  • Tendency to form hypertrophic scars or keloids.
  • Patients under 18 years of age.
  • Any other condition for which injectable dermal fillers or mesotherapy-type products are contraindicated according to current medical guidelines.

Adverse Effects

  • Common transient injection-site reactions: redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, bruising and itching.
  • Temporary papules or nodules at injection points, usually resolving within days.
  • Occasional local inflammatory reactions or prolonged induration that may require medical review.
  • Rare allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to one or more components.
  • Risk of infection if aseptic technique is not strictly followed.
  • As with all HA injectables, inadvertent intravascular injection or injection in high-risk anatomical areas can potentially lead to serious complications, including vascular occlusion or tissue necrosis; such events require urgent expert management.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in original packaging to protect from light.
  • Maintain at a controlled room temperature as specified in the product leaflet (typically between 2°C and 25°C); do not freeze.
  • Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging and syringes.
  • Single-use device: discard any unused product after first use according to local clinical waste regulations.
  • Keep out of reach of children and unauthorised persons; store in a secure area for medical products.

Duration

Commonly administered as a series of 3 treatment sessions at 4-week intervals, with the maximal lifting and rejuvenation effect seen around 2 weeks after each session. Clinical improvements in elasticity, density, brightness and wrinkle reduction can last several months, after which maintenance sessions may be scheduled as needed.

Onset

Early improvements in hydration and skin radiance may be noticeable shortly after treatment, with a more pronounced lifting and tightening effect typically evident around 2 weeks post-injection. Continued collagen stimulation and dermal remodelling over subsequent weeks can further enhance texture, elasticity and wrinkle reduction.
