Description

E.P.T.Q S500 with Lidocaine is a high-density, fully cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler designed for deep volume restoration, facial contouring and structural augmentation. With a concentration of 24 mg/ml HA and 0.3% lidocaine, the filler offers high viscoelasticity and lift capacity, making it suitable for augmenting cheeks, chin, jawline and correcting severe volume loss. Its highly purified HA formulation is manufactured under the e.p.t.q. “9 Essentials” process to ensure low endotoxin (<0.1 EU/ml) and minimal residual cross-linking agents (BDDE), aiming for safety and durability of results. The product is supplied as a 1.1 ml pre-filled syringe with 27G (or 25G) needle, and must be administered by a licensed practitioner under aseptic conditions.

Usage

  • Should be used only by trained and qualified healthcare professionals under aseptic conditions.
  • Perform a full assessment including patient history, allergies, previous filler treatments, and anatomical considerations before injection.
  • Cleanse and disinfect the area thoroughly; maintain aseptic technique throughout procedure.
  • Inject at deep dermal / subcutaneous or supraperiosteal plane depending on indication, using recommended needle size (25G or 27G) or cannula if appropriate.
  • Use small aliquots, minimal pressure, and aspirate before injection to avoid intravascular placement.
  • Massage gently if required to shape and contour the treated area, following clinic protocol.
  • Advise patient to avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat or alcohol, and to follow aftercare guidelines for 24-48 hours or as per protocol.
  • Ensure readiness for potential complications, including vascular occlusion, and have appropriate reversal/management protocols available.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, or any other components of the product.
  • Active skin infection, inflammation or lesions at the intended injection site.
  • History of severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis, unless risk assessment and emergency measures in place.
  • Bleeding disorders or concurrent anticoagulant/antiplatelet therapy that increases risk of bleeding or bruising (relative contraindication).
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding (lack of safety data).
  • Previous permanent or non-resorbable fillers in the same area without adequate evaluation — risk of interaction/complication.

Adverse Effects

  • Common injection site reactions: swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, pain, itching, mild induration or asymmetry.
  • Temporary lumps or nodules under the skin; may require massage or further management.
  • Local haematoma or ecchymosis due to needle/cannula trauma or vascular injury.
  • Rare but serious risks: vascular occlusion, tissue ischaemia or necrosis if inadvertently injected into or compressing a vessel, possible vision impairment if filler enters arterial circulation.
  • Delayed hypersensitivity or inflammatory reactions possibly triggered by residual cross-linker or external factors.
  • Risk of infection or biofilm formation if aseptic technique is not strictly followed.

Storage Conditions

  • Store between 2 °C and 25 °C in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
  • Do not freeze.
  • Keep the syringe sealed in its original packaging until use to maintain sterility.
  • Use before the expiry date printed on the carton.

Onset
