Non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid mesotherapy for mature skin revitalisation
Description
HYAMIRA 20mg (1x1ml) APHARM (Hyamira 2%) is a non-crosslinked, 2% hyaluronic acid mesotherapy solution specifically designed for the revitalisation of mature skin. Supplied as a 1 ml pre-filled syringe containing 20 mg/ml of hyaluronic acid sodium salt for intradermal use, this CE-marked medical device deeply hydrates the dermo-epidermal tissue, improves turgidity and elasticity, and helps combat multiple signs of ageing. Hyamira 2% is intended mainly for middle-aged and older patients (from around 30 years and above) with more mature skin, offering bio-revitalisation, anti-ageing, anti-photoageing and overall epidermal quality improvement.
Bnefits
- Intensely hydrates the skin by delivering 20 mg/ml of hyaluronic acid, improving moisture levels in the dermo-epidermal tissue.

- Provides anti-ageing benefits by helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles in mature skin.
- Helps prevent and manage photoageing and skin stress caused by environmental aggressors.
- Supports treatment of acne-related textural changes and scars.
- Helps manage hyperpigmentation and evens out skin tone and colour.
- Strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier, enhancing resistance to external stress.
- Stimulates cell regeneration and improves overall epidermal condition.

Usage
- For professional use only: must be administered by qualified healthcare professionals or aesthetic practitioners trained in mesotherapy and intradermal injection techniques.
- Cleanse and disinfect the treatment area thoroughly; apply topical anaesthetic if indicated and in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Inject intradermally (mesotherapy) into the superficial to mid dermis using micro-injections, nappage, or other appropriate mesotherapy techniques, depending on the indication and treatment area.
- Standard protocol: 2 injections (sessions) every 2 weeks at the beginning of the treatment course, in middle-aged and older patients with mature skin.
- When used to enhance the skin’s ability to adapt before invasive procedures (e.g. laser resurfacing, deep peels, plastic surgery), administer injections starting 2 weeks prior to the procedure as per protocol.
- The number of additional sessions and maintenance treatments should be determined based on patient age, skin condition and desired results, following professional judgement.
- After injection, gently massage the area if required to distribute the product evenly and minimise palpable irregularities.
- Advise patients to avoid makeup on treated areas for several hours post-treatment and to refrain from intense heat, sun exposure, sauna, vigorous exercise and alcohol for 24–48 hours.
- Recommend daily use of broad-spectrum sunscreen and a gentle skincare routine to maintain treatment results and protect revitalised skin.
- Always follow the manufacturer’s latest instructions for use and local clinical guidelines when planning and performing treatments.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to hyaluronic acid or any component of the product.
- Presence of active skin infections, inflammation or lesions (e.g. active herpes, severe acne, dermatitis) at or near the intended injection sites.
- Autoimmune diseases or serious systemic conditions where injectable aesthetic procedures are considered unsafe by the treating clinician.
- History of severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis to injectable products.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding, due to insufficient safety data and general aesthetic practice caution.
- Tendency to form keloid or hypertrophic scars in the intended treatment area, unless carefully evaluated and justified.
- Recent aggressive cosmetic treatments (deep chemical peels, ablative lasers, dermabrasion) on the treatment area without adequate healing time.
- Use in individuals under 18 years of age or in patients for whom intradermal hyaluronic acid treatments are not recommended by local regulations or guidelines.
Adverse Effects
- Common transient injection-site reactions such as redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, itching or bruising.
- Temporary induration, papules or small lumps at injection points, usually resolving spontaneously as the product integrates into the dermis.
- Mild, short-lived asymmetry or irregularity in treated areas, potentially requiring observation or minor adjustment in subsequent sessions.
- Rare inflammatory or hypersensitivity reactions, including prolonged swelling or erythema, which may require medical evaluation and treatment.
- Very rare risk of infection at injection sites if aseptic technique or aftercare is inadequate.
- As with all injectable hyaluronic acid products, there is a rare but serious risk of vascular compromise if inadvertently injected into or compressed against a blood vessel; emergency protocols and access to hyaluronidase are recommended in all treatment settings.
Storage Conditions
- Store in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, typically between 2°C and 25°C.
- Protect from direct sunlight, moisture and excessive heat; do not freeze.
- Keep the pre-filled syringe in its original blister and outer carton until use to maintain sterility and traceability.
- Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
- Do not use if the packaging, blister or syringe is damaged or shows evidence of compromised sterility.
Duration
Clinical and distributor information suggests that the bio-revitalising effects of Hyamira 20mg/1ml can last several months, with protocols typically using an initial course of 2 injections every 2 weeks and further sessions scheduled based on skin condition and practitioner assessment. Maintenance treatments may be required to sustain optimal hydration, turgidity and elasticity over time.
Onset
Patients often experience improved hydration, elasticity and skin tone shortly after the first sessions, with progressive improvements in texture, fine lines, tone and overall epidermal quality over the weeks following the recommended injection protocol.
