Cross-linked hyaluronic acid lip filler with lidocaine for lip augmentation and mid-depth wrinkles

Description

Lemon Fill Kiss 1 x 1ml is a non-surgical hyaluronic acid dermal filler specifically formulated for lip augmentation and the treatment of mid-depth wrinkles around the mouth. Each pre-filled syringe contains 1 ml of cross-linked, highly-purified hyaluronic acid at 20 mg/ml combined with 0.3% lidocaine hydrochloride to reduce injection discomfort. Its soft yet cohesive gel texture is designed to enhance lip volume, define lip contours and soften perioral lines while maintaining natural flexibility and movement. The filler integrates smoothly with existing tissue, providing natural-looking, fuller lips and refined definition of key lip and perioral landmarks such as the vermilion border, Cupid’s bow, philtrum columns and smoker’s lines.

Usage

  • For trained healthcare professionals / aesthetic practitioners only. Not for self-administration.
  • Review the patient’s medical history, aesthetic goals and contraindications before treatment; obtain informed consent.
  • Examine and mark the treatment areas (e.g. body of the lips, vermilion border, Cupid’s bow, perioral lines, philtrum columns).
  • Cleanse and disinfect the treatment area thoroughly using an appropriate antiseptic solution.
  • Attach one of the supplied 27G 1/2" sterile needles to the pre-filled syringe using the Luer-lock connection; remove the needle cap and expel a small amount of product to ensure patency and remove air.
  • Use appropriate injection techniques for lip and perioral treatments (e.g. linear threading, serial puncture, fanning) in accordance with your training and current best practice guidelines.
  • Inject into the appropriate depth: typically mid to deep dermis for perioral lines and into the submucosal / deep dermal plane for lip body augmentation, taking care to avoid intravascular injection.
  • Inject slowly with minimal pressure, continuously aspirating when indicated and monitoring tissue response; avoid overcorrection as additional product can be added at a follow-up session if needed.
  • Gently mould and contour the treated area with light massage if indicated to achieve smooth and even distribution, avoiding excessive pressure.
  • Dispose of used needles and empty syringes immediately into approved sharps containers in accordance with clinical waste regulations.
  • Provide post-treatment advice: avoid makeup on treated area for a specified period, avoid extreme heat/cold, strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 hours, and instruct the patient to report any concerning symptoms such as increasing pain, blanching, visual changes or signs of infection.
  • Schedule a review appointment (typically 2–4 weeks post-treatment) to assess results and determine if touch-ups are required.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or any of the excipients.
  • Hypersensitivity to local anaesthetics of the amide type, including lidocaine.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Patients under 18 years of age.
  • Patients with a history of severe allergies, anaphylaxis or multiple severe allergies.
  • Patients who tend to develop hypertrophic or keloid scarring.
  • Active skin disease, inflammation, infection or lesions in or near the treatment area (e.g. herpes labialis outbreak, dermatitis, acne with pustules).
  • Autoimmune or connective tissue diseases and uncontrolled systemic disorders, unless a specialist prescriber deems treatment appropriate.
  • Use in areas recently treated with laser resurfacing, chemical peeling or dermabrasion, or where such procedures are planned imminently (follow manufacturer and clinic guidance regarding timing).
  • Known coagulation disorders or current significant anticoagulant/antiplatelet therapy that increases bleeding risk, unless carefully assessed and managed by a qualified prescriber.

Adverse Effects

  • Common, transient injection-site reactions such as redness (erythema), swelling, tenderness, pain, itching, bruising and mild induration or lumpiness.
  • Temporary asymmetry or irregularity which typically improves as swelling subsides and product settles.
  • Small haematomas or ecchymosis at injection sites.
  • Less common events include prolonged oedema, granuloma formation, palpable nodules or local inflammatory reactions.
  • Immediate or delayed hypersensitivity reactions, including erythema, swelling, pruritus or, rarely, more severe allergic responses to HA or lidocaine.
  • Very rare but serious complications linked to intravascular injection, such as vascular occlusion, tissue necrosis, or visual disturbances; prompt recognition and management (e.g. with hyaluronidase and vascular compromise protocols) are essential.
  • Infection at the injection site if aseptic technique is not strictly followed.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place at controlled room temperature, typically between 2 °C and 25 °C (or as specified on the outer carton).
  • Protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat; do not expose to temperatures above the recommended range.
  • Do not freeze; freezing can damage the hyaluronic acid gel structure.
  • Keep in the original packaging until immediately before use to maintain sterility and protect from light.
  • Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children and unauthorised persons.
  • Single-use syringe: do not resterilise or reuse; discard any unused product after first opening according to clinical waste and sharps disposal regulations.

Duration

Results typically last around 6\u201312 months in the lips and perioral region, depending on individual factors such as metabolism, treatment area, injection technique, volume used and lifestyle. Maintenance treatments are usually recommended periodically to sustain optimal results.

Onset

Immediate volumising and contouring effect is visible directly after injection, with final results becoming more apparent once initial swelling and minor bruising have resolved, usually within 1\u20132 weeks.
