Professional chemical peel (biorevitalizing chloroacetic acid peel)

Description

INNO-EXFO MCA 35 by INNOAESTHETICS is a professional, biorevitalizing chemical peel based on chloroacetic acid (CA) combined with salicylic acid and arbutin, delivered with Smart GPS® technology. It is indicated for general cutaneous biorevitalization and the treatment of hypotonic and atrophic skin, elastosis of the face, neck and neckline, fine lines and wrinkles, and as an adjuvant in hyperpigmentation protocols. MCA 35 provides controlled micro-exfoliation and dermal redensification without frosting (NO FROST), restoring skin energy, elasticity and radiance. The product is supplied for professional use only in a pack of 5 vials of 5 ml each.

Bnefits

• Powerful skin biorevitalizer with intense activity against signs of aging and fine lines.
• Resurfacing peel that promotes dermal regeneration and revitalization, helping the skin regain energy, elasticity and radiance.
• Anti-ageing, firming, restructuring and toning effects on photo-aged, hypotonic or atrophic skin.
• Improves elastosis on the face, neck and neckline by redensifying dermal and epidermal layers.
• Adjuvant in hyperpigmentation treatments due to the depigmenting, skin-brightening action of arbutin.
• Controlled microexfoliation (NO FROST) with mild peeling and short downtime (typically 1–2 days).
• Uses Smart GPS® (Guidance Performance System) to optimize delivery of active ingredients into target skin layers.
• Suitable as part of professional anti-ageing and biorevitalization treatment protocols for younger and mature skin.

Indications

• General cutaneous biorevitalization.
• Hypotonic and atrophic skin.
• Elastosis of the face, neck and neckline.

Usage

• Professional use only: application must be performed by trained medical or aesthetic professionals familiar with medium-depth chemical peels.
• Pre-treatment: cleanse the skin thoroughly (e.g., with INNO-DERMA Soft Cleanser or Deep Cleanser) and degrease using a dedicated degreasing solution from the INNO-EXFO range.
• Protect sensitive areas (eye contour, nasal folds, commissures) with petroleum jelly or an appropriate barrier cream.
• Draw the required volume of MCA 35 (typically around 2 ml, depending on treatment area) from the vial.
• Apply 1–3 uniform layers with a brush or gauze over the treatment area (face, neck, neckline), massaging gently if specified by protocol, and observing patient tolerance and skin response.
• Monitor for mild to moderate burning sensation; degree of peel is designed to be soft to mild without visible frosting.
• Leave on for the time recommended in the manufacturer’s protocol, then neutralize or remove according to the official instructions (often by rinsing with water and/or applying post-peel neutralizing product).
• Apply post-peel repair cream (e.g., INNO-DERMA Skin Repair) and broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen after treatment.
• Recommended course: usually a minimum of 3–4 sessions spaced about 2–3 weeks apart, adjusted to the individual’s skin condition and professional judgement.
• Instruct patients on post-treatment care: avoid sun exposure and heat sources, apply repair and sun protection products as directed, do not pick or scratch flaking skin, and temporarily stop other aggressive topical treatments (e.g., retinoids, strong acids) as advised.

Contraindications

• Known hypersensitivity or allergy to chloroacetic acid, salicylic acid, arbutin or any component of the formulation.
• Active skin infections (bacterial, viral such as herpes simplex, or fungal) in the treatment area.
• Compromised skin barrier in the treatment area (open wounds, dermatitis, eczema, severe rosacea, recent sunburn).
• Recent use of oral isotretinoin (typically within the last 6–12 months, according to professional guidelines).
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless the treating physician decides otherwise based on risk–benefit assessment and local regulations.
• History of abnormal wound healing or keloid formation in the treatment area.
• Recent aggressive procedures on the same area (deep peels, ablative laser, dermabrasion) without adequate recovery time.
• Patients unable or unlikely to comply with strict photoprotection and post-peel care instructions.

Adverse Effects

• Expected: transient erythema, mild to moderate burning or stinging during application, and mild desquamation/peeling for a few days post-treatment.
• Possible: edema, dryness, tightness, pruritus or discomfort in the treated area.
• Less common but more serious: post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (especially in darker phototypes or with inadequate sun protection), prolonged erythema, crusting or superficial erosions.
• Rare: allergic or idiosyncratic reactions to one or more components, infection if post-treatment care is inadequate, or scarring in predisposed individuals.
• All adverse effects and risks must be discussed with the patient before treatment and documented in informed consent according to local regulations.

Storage Conditions

• Store in a cool, dry place at controlled room temperature, generally between 2 °C and 25 °C (refer to packaging for exact limits).
• Keep vials in the original outer carton, protected from direct light and heat sources.
• Ensure vials are tightly closed until use; once opened, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations regarding single-use and discard any remaining product from partially used vials.
• Keep out of reach of children and unauthorized personnel; intended only for professional settings.

Duration

Typically performed as a course of 3–4 professional peel sessions, spaced approximately 2–3 weeks apart; exact number and interval are determined by the treating professional based on skin condition and response.

Onset

Initial improvements in skin brightness and texture may be visible within a few days after the first session (once mild desquamation resolves), with progressive biorevitalizing, firming and anti-ageing effects developing over the full course of 3–4 sessions.
