Mesotherapy / Scalp & Hair Biorevitalising Solution
Description
RRS XL Hair is a CE Class III injectable mesotherapy solution specifically developed to biostimulate hair growth and revitalise the scalp. Based on non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid in a multi-ingredient biorevitalising buffer (amino acids, trace elements, vitamins, terpenes, fatty acids, peptide growth factors and antioxidants), it restructures the scalp extracellular matrix, improves microcirculation and enhances nourishment of hair follicles. This leads to thicker, denser and healthier hair, while helping to prevent and treat hair loss and baldness. RRS XL Hair can be injected in the scalp, eyebrows and pubic area and is designed exclusively for professional use by trained medical practitioners.

Usage
- For professional use only; must be administered by a qualified physician or suitably trained medical professional in an appropriate clinical setting.
- Before treatment, assess patient medical history, hair-loss pattern and scalp condition; obtain informed consent.
- Inspect packaging and ampoules; do not use if packaging is damaged, ampoule is cracked or solution is discoloured or contains particles.
- Cleanse and disinfect the scalp or treatment area thoroughly in accordance with aseptic technique.
- Use a fine mesotherapy needle (typically 30G–32G) for intradermal or very superficial subepidermal injections.
- Inject small micro-deposits across the treatment area (scalp, eyebrows or pubic region) using nappage or point-by-point technique, spacing injections approximately 0.5–1 cm apart.
- Recommended protocol: apply once or twice per week for a period of 4 to 12 weeks, depending on severity of hair loss and clinical response.
- Total volume per session is adjusted according to the area treated; one 5 ml ampoule is generally sufficient for a full scalp session.
- For prevention or maintenance, repeat treatment cycles can be performed as needed after the initial course, according to practitioner judgement and patient response.
- Advise patients to avoid washing the scalp, using aggressive hair products, or exposing the treated area to intense heat (sauna, steam bath, sunbeds) for at least 24 hours after each session.
- Instruct patients to report any persistent pain, swelling, redness, nodules or signs of infection promptly.
- Discard any unused solution after opening an ampoule; do not reuse. Dispose of all needles, syringes and ampoules in approved sharps containers.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to hyaluronic acid, any of the listed components (e.g. amino acids, vitamins, trace elements, peptides, growth factors) or excipients.
- Active infections, inflammation, dermatitis or scalp diseases in the proposed treatment area (e.g. folliculitis, psoriasis flare, severe seborrhoeic dermatitis) until resolved.
- Autoimmune diseases or patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy, unless the risk–benefit has been carefully evaluated by the practitioner.
- Uncontrolled systemic diseases (e.g. uncontrolled diabetes, severe cardiovascular disorders) that may impair healing or increase risk of complications.
- Known tendency to keloid or hypertrophic scar formation in the treatment region.
- History of severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis to injectable products.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding (elective aesthetic mesotherapy is generally not recommended in these populations).
- Use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
- Do not inject into blood vessels, areas with permanent fillers, or into infected or necrotic tissue.
Adverse Effects
- Common transient injection-site reactions: redness, swelling, tenderness, itching, mild pain or pinpoint bleeding.
- Bruising or haematoma formation, particularly in patients taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication.
- Temporary papules, small nodules or induration at injection sites, usually resolving spontaneously or after gentle massage.
- Rare risk of local infection or abscess if aseptic technique is not strictly followed.
- Possible allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to one or more components, manifesting as prolonged erythema, oedema, pruritus or induration.
- Very rare but serious complications if inadvertently injected intravascularly, potentially leading to vascular compromise and tissue necrosis; these require immediate emergency management.
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation may occur in predisposed individuals if there is significant inflammation or inadequate sun protection after treatment.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place at controlled room temperature (typically between 2°C and 25–30°C, as indicated on the packaging).
- Protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Do not freeze.
- Keep ampoules in their original carton until use to maintain sterility and protect from light.
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the ampoule and outer packaging.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Duration
Typical course consists of once or twice weekly sessions for 4 to 12 weeks. Additional or maintenance courses may be repeated as required based on the patient\u2019s hair condition and the practitioner\u2019s clinical assessment.
Onset
Initial improvements in scalp hydration and hair quality may be noticeable within the first few weeks; visible increases in hair density, strength and reduction in shedding are generally expected over 4 to 12 weeks of regular treatment.
