Reusable colour-coded cleaning cloths (Heavy Weight Plus)
Description
Cleanall Heavy Weight Plus - 50 Cleaning Cloths are strong, super-absorbent, long-lasting non-woven cleaning cloths designed for repeated use in healthcare, catering, janitorial and domestic environments. As part of GAMA Healthcare’s Cleanall range, the Heavy Weight Plus cloths feature a super-strong, tear-resistant structure and are able to absorb up to five times their own weight in liquid. They are colour coded (red, blue, green and yellow) to support the NHS and industry-standard cleaning colour-coding systems, helping to reduce cross-contamination between different areas. Each pack contains 50 reusable cloths, each measuring approximately 42 cm x 25 cm, suitable for use on most general fixtures, fittings and surfaces.
Bnefits
- Strong, super-absorbent, long-lasting cleaning cloths designed for repeated use.
- Able to absorb up to 5 times their own weight in liquid, ideal for spill management and general cleaning.
- Reusable and washable, making them longer lasting, reducing waste and lowering overall cleaning costs.
- Heavy Weight Plus construction provides a super-strong, tear-resistant structure suitable for scrubbing away tough stains and removing heavy soiling.
- Colour-coded system (red, blue, green, yellow) reduces the risk of cross-contamination by designating specific cloth colours for specific areas or tasks.
- Multi-functional and suitable for a variety of surfaces and areas including bathrooms, washrooms, ward areas, offices, catering departments, kitchens, patient areas and isolation areas.
- Soft texture that does not damage most general fixtures and fittings, while still providing effective cleaning performance.
- Cost-effective option for professional healthcare, janitorial and domestic environments requiring durable, reusable cleaning cloths.
Indications
- General cleaning tasks in healthcare facilities (e.g. hospitals, clinics, GP surgeries, care homes).
- Routine cleaning in wards, patient areas and isolation areas using appropriate colour coding.
- Cleaning of bathrooms, washrooms and sanitary areas.
- Use in catering departments and kitchens for non-food-contact surface cleaning, following local policies.
- Janitorial cleaning tasks in offices, reception areas and public spaces.
- Domestic use where strong, reusable, colour-coded cloths are required for multiple areas of the home.
Composition
- Non-woven synthetic cleaning cloth (exact fibre blend not explicitly specified; designed as a strong, tear-resistant, absorbent non-woven fabric).
- Heavy Weight Plus grade within the Cleanall range, providing enhanced strength and absorbency compared with Everyday or standard Heavyweight cloths.

- Heavy Weight Plus non-woven cleaning cloths designed for repeated use.
- Cloth size: approximately 42 cm x 25 cm.
- Pack size: 50 cloths per pack.
- Colour variants: red, blue, green, yellow (aligned with NHS and industry-standard cleaning colour coding).
- Absorbency: able to absorb up to 5 times their own weight in liquid.
- Reusable and washable according to manufacturer guidance; intended for multiple cleaning cycles before disposal.
- Suitable for use either wet (with water/detergent/disinfectant solutions as per local protocols) or dry.

- Available as separate colour-coded packs (e.g. JCCHP50B Blue, JCCHP50R Red, JCCHP50G Green, JCCHP50Y Yellow).
- Packaging designed to allow easy access to individual cloths; some configurations may be interfolded for convenient single-cloth dispensing.

Usage
- Select the appropriate Cleanall Heavy Weight Plus cloth colour in accordance with your local or NHS colour-coding policy for cleaning equipment and areas.
- Use the cloth either dry or moistened with water, detergent or a compatible cleaning/disinfectant solution, following local infection prevention and control guidance.
- Wipe surfaces thoroughly to remove visible soil, residues and spills, paying particular attention to high-touch surfaces where appropriate.
- For spillages, place the cloth directly over the spill to allow rapid absorption, then wipe the area clean.
- After use, if the cloth is being reused, rinse and wash in accordance with site laundry procedures and manufacturer guidance, then allow to dry fully before next use.
- Discard cloths that are heavily stained, damaged, or cannot be effectively cleaned, and always discard cloths used in high-risk contamination scenarios if reuse is not permitted by local policy.
- Do not reuse cloths across different colour-coded areas or tasks; maintain colour separation to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
- Dispose of worn or end-of-life cloths as appropriate (e.g. domestic or clinical waste) depending on contamination level and local waste management policies.
Contraindications
- Not suitable for use as a sterile product or for direct application to wounds, skin or mucous membranes.
- Do not use on surfaces that are incompatible with the cleaning agents or disinfectants being applied with the cloth.
- Do not use for tasks that require lint-free, non-fibrous materials if fibres or lint could interfere with equipment (e.g. some sensitive electronics or optical instruments) unless confirmed suitable.
- Do not reuse cloths between different colour-coded cleaning zones (e.g. toilets vs. food preparation areas) to avoid cross-contamination.
Adverse Effects
- When used as directed on compatible surfaces, no specific adverse effects are expected.
- Improper reuse or failure to follow colour-coding and decontamination protocols may contribute to cross-contamination and suboptimal infection prevention.
- Use with incompatible chemicals (highly oxidising agents, strong solvents, etc.) may degrade the cloth material, leading to reduced strength or linting.
Storage Conditions
- Store unopened packs in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Keep packaging sealed until required to protect cloths from dust, moisture and environmental contamination.
- Store packs away from strong chemicals or solvents that could compromise the integrity of the packaging or cloths.
- After washing reusable cloths, ensure they are thoroughly dried and stored in a clean, dry area prior to reuse.
Duration
Not applicable. These are reusable cleaning consumables intended for repeated use until visibly worn, damaged or soiled beyond effective cleaning, at which point they should be replaced.
Onset
Immediate \u2013 absorbency and cleaning performance are available as soon as the cloth is applied to a surface or spill.
