Multi-surface detergent wipes

Description

Clinell Detergent Wipes x 215 are alcohol- and disinfectant-free multi-surface wipes developed by doctors for general cleaning and damp dusting in healthcare and other professional environments. Each convenient flowrap dispenser pack contains 215 large wipes impregnated with a patented, environmentally friendly detergent formula derived from renewable plant sources. The wipes are incredibly powerful yet ultra-low smear, designed to thoroughly remove visible dirt and organic soiling from hard surfaces and equipment, providing an effective cleaning step prior to disinfection. They are suitable for use on a wide range of non-porous surfaces and non-invasive medical equipment, including mattresses, bed frames, table tops, wheelchairs, desks, chairs, ledges, hoists, walking frames, telephones, examination couches and trolleys.

  • Wipe the surface or piece of equipment thoroughly, ensuring that all visible dirt and organic material are removed.
  • Use additional wipes as necessary until the surface appears visibly clean; discard used wipes in appropriate waste containers (do not flush).
  • Allow the surface to air dry. If disinfection is required, apply an appropriate disinfectant (such as a Clinell Universal or sporicidal product) after cleaning, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Reseal the pack immediately after removing wipes to prevent the remaining wipes from drying out.

  • Wash hands or use an appropriate hand hygiene product after completing cleaning tasks; consider wearing gloves during prolonged or repeated use.

Contraindications

  • Not intended to be used as a disinfectant or sporicidal wipe; they provide cleaning only and should be followed by a suitable disinfectant where required.
  • Do not use on surfaces or medical devices that are incompatible with water-based detergent wipes; always consult the equipment manufacturer’s cleaning instructions.
  • Use on complex or invasive equipment is not advised unless specifically allowed by local decontamination protocols.
  • For external use on surfaces and equipment only; avoid direct contact with eyes or mucous membranes.
  • Individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to any ingredient in the wipe solution or substrate should avoid prolonged direct contact.

Adverse Effects

  • Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause mild skin irritation, particularly in individuals with sensitive skin; gloves are recommended for extended cleaning tasks.
  • In rare cases, allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to components of the wipe solution may occur; discontinue use and seek medical advice if irritation or allergy persists.
  • Use on incompatible materials may cause cosmetic effects such as streaking or dulling of delicate finishes; test on an inconspicuous area if in doubt.
