Description
Deb InstantFOAM Complete is an 80% alcohol-based foam hand sanitiser from SC Johnson Professional, supplied here as a pack of six 1 litre cartridges (DIS1000ML) for use in compatible Deb / SC Johnson Professional 1L sanitiser dispensers. The rich foam provides complete broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and is fully tested to be bactericidal, virucidal, yeasticidal and mycobactericidal, killing 99.999% of many common germs. It is perfume-free, dye-free, non-sticky and clinically proven to maintain skin hydration, with a skin-hypoallergenic, ECARF-certified formula suitable for frequent use, including in healthcare and food handling environments.

- Individual cartridges constructed from robust laminated plastic with integrated pump designed to dispense foam.
- Outer cardboard shipping case with product identification, batch / lot number, shelf life and regulatory information.
- Labelling includes product name, usage instructions, hazard symbols (flammable, eye irritation), ingredient listing and biocidal product regulatory statements.
Usage
- Ensure hands are visibly clean and dry before use (if heavily soiled, wash with soap and water first).
- Place one hand under the dispenser and actuate once to dispense an adequate amount of foam (typically one full dose for general hygienic use; follow local protocol).
- Rub the foam thoroughly across all areas of the hands, including palms, backs of hands, between fingers, fingertips, thumbs and around nails, for 20–30 seconds until hands are completely dry.
- For hygienic hand disinfection according to EN1500, apply 5 doses (approximately 3.5 ml) and rub over all hand surfaces, keeping skin continuously wet with product for at least 30 seconds (40 seconds for full virucidal conditions as per product information).
- For surgical hand disinfection, apply 5 doses (around 3.5 ml), rub thoroughly to keep hands and forearms wet for 180 seconds, reapplying as necessary to maintain wet contact time, according to local protocols.
- Use the product several times a day as required, especially after coughing, sneezing, contact with body fluids or touching potentially contaminated surfaces, and in line with WHO ‘5 Moments of Hand Hygiene’ in healthcare.
- Do not rinse or wipe off; allow hands to air dry fully before touching surfaces, food, or putting on gloves.
- Avoid contact with eyes; if the product enters the eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and remove contact lenses if present and easy to do.
- Use biocides safely; always read the label and product information before use and follow local infection control or HACCP guidelines.
- Do not mix with other products or transfer to unlabelled containers; always use in the original cartridge system with compatible dispensers.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to ethanol or any other listed ingredients.
- Do not use on damaged, broken or severely irritated skin unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Not for use on mucous membranes, in the eyes or on the face; avoid contact with eyes and mouth.
- Highly flammable liquid and vapour; keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources; no smoking during use.
- Not intended for ingestion; keep out of reach of children and supervise use in young children (above 3 years) according to label recommendations.
Adverse Effects
- May cause transient stinging or mild irritation on very dry, chapped or broken skin.
- Can cause serious eye irritation if splashed into the eyes (due to high alcohol content).
- Rarely, allergic contact dermatitis or sensitivity to one of the ingredients may occur; discontinue use and seek medical advice if persistent redness, itching or rash develops.
- Excessive or improper use in enclosed spaces without ventilation may cause transient inhalation discomfort from alcohol vapours.
- Being highly flammable, misuse near ignition sources can pose a fire hazard.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, sparks, open flames and hot surfaces.
- Keep cartridges tightly closed in their original packaging until installation in the dispenser.
- Store at normal room temperature and avoid extremes of temperature; follow manufacturer’s recommended storage conditions.
- Keep out of reach of children and securely store spare cartridges away from areas where they could be tampered with.
- Observe the indicated shelf life (typically 36 months from date of manufacture when stored unopened at room temperature).
Duration
Each application requires 20\u201330 seconds of thorough rubbing for general hygienic hand disinfection, with longer contact times (up to 3 minutes) for specific hygienic or surgical hand disinfection protocols as per EN standards and local guidelines.
