Description
Delph Sun Lotion SPF50 - 150ml is a very high protection, water-resistant sun lotion designed to protect skin against harmful UVA and UVB radiation. It provides a four-star (“superior”) UVA rating and SPF50 sun protection, in a non-greasy, easily absorbed formulation that contains vitamin E and aloe vera to help nourish and moisturise the skin. The product is dermatologically tested to medical standards on humans, suitable for all skin types and ages (including many patients with skin conditions), and is widely used in clinical and professional settings, including supply to the NHS, local authorities, public utilities, the UK Ministry of Defence and the RNLI. The lotion is photostable, very water resistant, and based on the original Delph Lemon fragrance. It is listed in the UK Drug Tariff as a borderline sunscreen product and comes in a 150 ml tube, distributed in the UK by Medisave as part of their Infection Control and sun cream disposables range.

Usage
- Apply generously and evenly to clean, dry skin before sun exposure, ensuring all exposed areas are fully covered.
- Use sufficient quantity; as a guide, apply at least 1/2 teaspoon for the face, 1 teaspoon for each arm, slightly more for each leg, and 2 teaspoons each for the front and back of the torso where appropriate.
- Allow the lotion to absorb fully into the skin before dressing or going into the sun.
- Re-apply every 1–2 hours to maintain protection, especially after swimming, perspiring, or towel-drying.
- Apply 15–30 minutes before sun exposure where possible to allow optimal film formation.
- Avoid contact with eyes, fabrics and painted surfaces; if contact occurs, rinse immediately with water.
- Do not apply to broken, inflamed or severely irritated skin.
- Even when using Delph Sun Lotion SPF50, avoid excessive sun exposure and seek shade between 11:00 and 15:00.
- Use protective clothing, hats and sunglasses in addition to sunscreen, particularly in strong sunlight.
- Keep babies and young children out of direct sunlight; use sunscreen only as part of a broader sun-avoidance strategy for children.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to Delph Sun Lotion SPF50 or any of its ingredients.
- Avoid use on broken, severely inflamed or infected skin.
- Discontinue use and seek medical advice if severe irritation or allergic reaction develops.
Adverse Effects
- Transient skin irritation, stinging or redness at the application site.
- Eye irritation if the product enters the eyes.
- Rare allergic or sensitivity reactions to one or more ingredients (e.g. fragrance components or preservatives).
- Potential photosensitivity reactions in very sensitive individuals, as can occur with any sunscreen.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight.
- Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use.

Duration
Use throughout periods of sun exposure, with repeated applications every 1\u20132 hours during continued exposure and after swimming, sweating or towel drying; discontinue when no longer in the sun or if irritation occurs.
Onset
High-level UV protection begins as soon as a sufficient, even film has been applied and allowed to form on the skin (typically within 15\u201330 minutes of application).
