Sterile scalpel blade with plastic handle

Description

Pack of 10 sterile, single-use disposable scalpels — each scalpel has a steel blade mounted on a plastic handle, offering lightweight, precise handling suitable for minor surgical, dermatological or aesthetic procedures where a sterile cutting instrument is required.

Bnefits

  • Sterile and individually packaged to ensure hygiene and reduce risk of cross-contamination between patients.
  • Lightweight handle and sharp steel blade provide excellent control and precision.
  • Single-use disposable design eliminates need for re-sterilization and avoids blade dullness associated with reusable scalpels.
  • Convenient pack size (10 pcs) suitable for small clinics, aesthetic practices and dermatology settings.
  • CE-marked or compliant with European Community (EC) origin standards as indicated by distributor notes.
  • Portable and easy to store, making them practical for clinics with limited space or frequent mobility.

Indications

  • Minor surgical or dermatological procedures requiring a sterile blade (e.g. biopsies, excisions, lesion removal, small incisions).
  • Aesthetic or cosmetic procedures under sterile conditions (e.g. removal of small skin tags, cysts, minor corrective procedures) by qualified professionals.
  • Any clinical or aesthetic context where a sterile, disposable scalpel blade is required to maintain hygiene and safety standards.

Composition

  • Stainless steel surgical-grade blade
  • Plastic handle (medical-grade polymer)

Formulation

  • Pre-sterilised, individually sealed disposable scalpel units
  • Single-use design intended for one patient per scalpel

Packaging

  • Box containing 10 individually packaged sterile scalpels
  • Each scalpel in its own sealed pouch to maintain sterility until use
  • Outer packaging labelled with product name, batch/lot number, CE/EC compliance marking and expiry/use-by information if applicable

Usage

  • For use only by licensed medical or aesthetic professionals trained in sterile surgical technique.
  • Open individual pouch using aseptic technique just before intended use; avoid contamination of blade or handle.
  • Use scalpels for intended dermatological or minor surgical procedures under sterile, controlled conditions.
  • After use, immediately discard the scalpel into a sharps-approved sharps container. Do NOT re-use or re-sterilise.
  • Follow local medical waste disposal regulations for used sharps.
  • Ensure antiseptic skin preparation, sterile gloves and all standard pre- and post- procedure protocols are observed.

Contraindications

  • Not intended for use by untrained personnel or in non-sterile settings.
  • Do not reuse — risk of infection, blunting of blade, and contamination increases if re-used.
  • Not suitable for invasive procedures requiring specialized surgical instruments beyond a simple disposable scalpel.

Adverse Effects

  • Risk of accidental cuts or puncture injuries if handled improperly.
  • Potential for infection if aseptic technique is not strictly followed or if scalpel is contaminated before use.
  • Sharp-related hazards — accidental needlestick or blade-stick injuries if disposal protocols are not followed properly.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a clean, dry place at room temperature, away from moisture and humidity to preserve sterility.
  • Keep in original sealed packaging until use.
  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures that may compromise packaging integrity, but not heat- or moisture-sensitive beyond standard sterile product storage requirements.
