Composition
- 1 pair Vitrex examination gloves (sterile, Small/Medium).
- 1 large apron (single-use).
- 1 white disposable bag.
- 1 paper towel (approx. 45 cm x 50 cm).
- 4 soft swabs, 4-ply (approx. 10 cm x 10 cm).
- 1 absorbent pad (approx. 10 cm x 20 cm).
- 1 sterile field (approx. 50 cm x 50 cm).
Formulation
- Non-medicated sterile dressing pack (no active pharmaceutical ingredients).
- Single-use components intended for aseptic wound-care procedures.
- Gloves: S/M sterile examination gloves.
- All items individually packed within the sterile inner pack, contained in an outer zip or carry bag (pack of 10).
Packaging
- Outer pack contains 10 individually sterile Dressit community dressing packs.
- Each dressing pack supplied in a sterile pouch within an easy-to-carry and store outer zip/carry bag.
- Labelling includes product name, size (S/M gloves), quantity (pack of 10), batch number and expiry date.
- Intended for single use only; discard whole pack after use.
Usage
- Check the expiry date and integrity of the sterile packaging before use; do not use if damaged or expired.
- Open the outer carry bag and remove one sterile Dressit dressing pack.
- Prepare the patient and treatment area, ensuring appropriate hand hygiene is performed.
- Open the sterile dressing pack using aseptic technique, creating the sterile field.
- Don the sterile S/M gloves provided in the pack.
- Use the paper towel, soft swabs and absorbent pad as required to cleanse and dress the wound, following local clinical protocols.
- Use the apron and disposable bag to maintain hygiene and safely dispose of contaminated materials.
- After completing the procedure, dispose of all used components (including gloves, apron, swabs and packaging) in accordance with local clinical waste policies.
- Do not reuse any item from the pack; each pack is single-use only.
Contraindications
- Do not use if the sterile pouch is damaged, opened or past the stated expiry date.
- Patients or staff with known sensitivities or allergies to any component materials (e.g. glove material, apron, swab fabric) should avoid use or select suitable alternatives.
- Not suitable as a treatment for severe or complex wounds without appropriate clinical supervision.
- Not intended for use where a different specific sterile pack type is required by protocol (e.g. surgical theatre packs).
Adverse Effects
- Potential contact irritation or allergic reaction to glove material, apron or other components in sensitive individuals.
- If aseptic technique is not followed despite use of the pack, there is a risk of wound contamination or infection.
- Improper disposal of used items may increase infection risk or breach local infection control policies.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Keep packs in their original outer bag or carton until needed to protect sterility.
- Do not expose to moisture or physical damage that could compromise the sterile packaging.
- Keep out of reach of children and unauthorised persons.
- Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
Duration
Intended for single-use per dressing procedure; duration of use is limited to the length of the individual wound-care or aseptic procedure (typically minutes). Overall course of treatment depends on the patient\u2019s clinical wound-care plan and frequency of dressing changes.
