Dermatological cream for dry skin conditions
Description
E45 Cream 50g is a perfume-free, non-greasy emollient cream clinically proven to treat and soothe dry, itching, flaking, chapped, rough and calloused skin, as well as sunburn and detergent hands. It contains a triple-active formula of white soft paraffin, light liquid paraffin and hypoallergenic anhydrous lanolin (Medilan) that softens the skin, restores the moisture barrier and helps prevent further water loss. E45 Cream is recommended as an adjunctive treatment for more serious dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, ichthyosis and certain dry cases of psoriasis, and can be used daily by adults, the elderly, children and infants over 1 month of age.

Adverse Effects
- Occasional hypersensitivity reactions such as allergic skin rash or irritation.
- Local skin reactions including contact dermatitis (often related to cetyl alcohol or parabens).
- Very rare cases of acneiform eruptions or folliculitis with prolonged heavy use of paraffin-based emollients.
- Paraffin-containing products can soak into clothing and bedding and significantly increase flammability; if exposed to naked flames or lit cigarettes, there is a risk of serious burns.
- Very rare risk of lipoid pneumonia if significant quantities of paraffin-based product are inhaled or aspirated (for example if misused near the nose in infants).
Storage Conditions
- Store below 25°C in a dry place.
- Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- For external use only.
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
- Avoid smoking or going near naked flames when using this product; clothing, bedding, dressings and other fabrics in contact with the cream are more easily ignited. Change and wash these items regularly to reduce build-up, although washing may not remove all residues.
Duration
Use as often and for as long as needed to control dry skin symptoms; suitable for long-term daily use as a maintenance emollient unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional.
Onset
Soothing and softening effects are typically felt within minutes of application as the non-greasy cream is quickly absorbed; continued regular use improves and maintains skin hydration over days to weeks.
