Odour Control / Enzyme-Based Deodoriser
Description
EdenCleen Odour Neutraliser is a ready-to-use, enzyme-based deodoriser formulated to tackle a wide range of organic malodours. Powerful enzymes break down the organic compounds responsible for bad smells, rather than simply masking them. The product is suitable for use on both soft and hard surfaces, including carpets, upholstery, flooring, tiles, urinals and other washroom or soiled areas. A light vanilla fragrance provides an immediate pleasant scent while the enzymes act on the odour-causing residues. As a natural product, slight colour variation and a small amount of sediment may occur in the liquid, which is normal and does not affect performance. Supplied under the EdenCleen brand by Cleenol, the product is typically packed as 2 x 5 L containers (code EDN-ON-2X5) for professional use in healthcare, care homes, hospitality and facilities management.
Bnefits
- Ready-to-use enzyme-based deodoriser requiring no dilution before use.
- Enzymes actively break down organic compounds that cause bad odours, providing longer-lasting odour control.
- Suitable for both soft and hard surfaces including carpets, upholstery, flooring, tiles and urinals.
- Light vanilla fragrance offers an immediate pleasant scent while biological action continues in the background.
- Natural-product formulation; minor colour variation or sediment does not affect efficacy.
- Versatile product for healthcare, washrooms, public spaces, refuse areas and other odour-prone environments.
- Supports better environmental profile compared with some solvent-heavy odour maskers.
Indications
- Neutralising organic malodours on soft furnishings such as carpets, rugs, upholstery and fabric surfaces.
- Treating odours on hard surfaces including tiles, sealed flooring and walls.
- Deodorising urinals, toilets, washrooms and surrounding floor areas.
- Reducing odours from organic spills, body fluids, food waste and other organic residues.
- Use in healthcare, care homes, schools, hospitality, leisure facilities and general building maintenance.
Composition
- Enzyme-based deodorising surfactant blend in aqueous solution (exact proprietary formulation not fully disclosed).
- 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-ylmethanol (1–3% w/w) – classified Eye Irrit. 2, H319 according to CLP.
- Fragrance: light vanilla perfume.
- Other non-hazardous ingredients and water to 100%.
Formulation
- Liquid, ready-to-use enzyme-based odour neutraliser.
- Pleasant vanilla-fragranced solution with pH typically in the range 4.5–6.5.
- Designed for spray application directly onto contaminated areas without the need for dilution.
Packaging
- Professional pack size EDN-ON-2X5: 2 x 5 L plastic containers (jerrycan-style) per outer case.
- High-density plastic containers with carrying handle and screw cap.
- Product labelling includes EdenCleen branding, usage directions, safety information, batch/lot details and volume.

Usage
- For heavily soiled areas, first remove and dispose of any excess debris or solid material.
- Spray or pour EdenCleen Odour Neutraliser liberally over the affected area, ensuring thorough coverage.
- For soft surfaces such as carpets or upholstery, agitate the area with a stiff brush to help the product penetrate fibres.
- Allow the treated area to air dry naturally.
- Odours should dissipate noticeably within approximately 60 minutes as the enzymes act on organic residues.
- For particularly strong or persistent malodours, repeat application may be necessary.
- Use on both soft and hard surfaces including carpets, upholstery, flooring, tiles and urinals as required.
- Avoid mixing with other cleaning chemicals that may inactivate enzymes; use as supplied.
- For professional use; follow local health and safety guidance and wear appropriate PPE if splashing is likely.
Contraindications
- Do not use on surfaces that may be adversely affected by water-based products (e.g. some unsealed or delicate materials) without testing on a small inconspicuous area first.
- Not intended for direct application to skin, food or food-contact surfaces that are not subsequently rinsed where food safety rules require.
- Do not mix with other cleaning agents, disinfectants or chemicals that may denature the enzymes or create incompatible mixtures.
- Restricted to professional users as per safety data sheet guidance.
Adverse Effects
- May cause eye irritation due to the presence of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-ylmethanol (Eye Irrit. 2, H319).
- Prolonged or repeated skin contact with the liquid may cause mild irritation in sensitive individuals.
- Inhalation of spray mists in poorly ventilated areas may cause transient respiratory irritation in some users.
- Ingestion may cause gastrointestinal discomfort and should be managed according to SDS first-aid advice.
Storage Conditions
- Store in cool conditions away from direct sources of heat and direct sunlight.
- Avoid extremes of temperature and do not allow the product to freeze.
- Ensure the cap is tightly fitted after use to prevent leakage and contamination.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Store in the original container and follow any additional storage guidance on the label or safety data sheet.
- Shelf life is typically 24 months when stored as recommended; once opened, use within 6 months.
Duration
Onset
