Description

Freeze Spray - 150ml is a cold therapy aerosol designed to provide fast, effective cooling relief for minor sports injuries and musculoskeletal pain. Supplied in a 150 ml pressurised can, the spray delivers an instant ice-like cooling effect to the skin to help relieve pain and discomfort associated with muscular twists, sprains, strains and bruises. It is intended as an ideal addition to first aid kits, sports bags and workplace first aid provisions, and is typically supplied as a white-label or Masterplast / Healthpoint product under the code QH0550. The product is for external use only.

Usage

  • For external use only.
  • Shake the can well before use.
  • Hold the can approximately 20–30 cm away from the affected area.
  • Spray 1–3 short bursts directly onto the affected area.
  • Allow the spray to evaporate; do not rub into the skin immediately after application.
  • Use up to 3 times daily, leaving several hours between applications.
  • Discontinue use and seek medical advice if pain or swelling persists or worsens.

Contraindications

  • Do not use on broken, blistered, irritated or diseased skin.
  • Do not use on the head, face, neck or genital areas.
  • Not recommended for children under 10 years of age unless directed by a healthcare professional.
  • Do not use in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients (e.g. menthol or propylene glycol).
  • Do not use concurrently with other topical warming or cooling products on the same area.
  • Avoid use on very sensitive skin or immediately after a hot bath or in very hot conditions, as skin sensitivity may be increased.

Adverse Effects

  • Transient skin redness, tingling or burning sensation at the application site.
  • Localized skin irritation or contact dermatitis in sensitive individuals.
  • Discomfort or cold burn if over-applied or sprayed for too long at close range.
  • In rare cases, allergic reactions to ingredients such as menthol or propylene glycol.
  • Inhalation of vapour may cause transient respiratory irritation or dizziness if used in confined, poorly ventilated spaces.

Storage Conditions

  • Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
  • Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C.
  • Keep away from heat sources, open flames and other ignition sources.
  • Do not pierce or burn the can, even when empty.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Store in an upright position in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.

Duration

Short-term symptomatic relief; typically used for acute episodes of pain or injury with applications up to 3 times per day as required.

Onset

Cooling and pain-relieving effect begins within seconds of spraying onto the skin.
