Disposable wooden waxing spatulas / applicators
Description
The Hive Disposable Brow & Lip Spatulas are single-use, flat birch-wood spatulas designed for precise deposition of wax on small facial areas such as eyebrows and upper lip. They are supplied in a pack of 200 and each spatula measures approximately 88 mm in length — ideal for controlled, hygienic waxing and depilatory treatments in salons and aesthetic clinics. The smooth, splinter-free wood ensures safe application and easy wax spreading with minimal waste, enhancing precision and sanitation during waxing procedures. Intended for professional use, these spatulas help maintain high hygiene standards and avoid cross-contamination between clients.

Usage
- Ensure skin is clean, dry and prepped according to waxing protocol (e.g. pre-wax oil if required).
- Select one spatula for a single application; do not reuse after waxing to maintain hygiene.
- Use spatula to scoop or apply warm, soft or hard wax onto the treatment area (eyebrow, lip or small facial area) with a thin, even layer.
- Apply wax in direction of hair growth and proceed with waxing/removal according to wax manufacturer’s instructions.
- After wax removal, dispose of the spatula in a proper waste bin; do not attempt to reuse.
- Ensure safe disposal of used spatulas and sanitise work area as per clinic or salon hygiene protocols.
Contraindications
- Do not reuse spatulas — single-use only to avoid cross-contamination and hygiene issues.
- Avoid using spatulas on broken, damaged or irritated skin.
- Not suitable for waxing large body areas (too small/short) — intended for brows, lip, face or small zones.
- Not for use with clients allergic to wood or latex adhesives (if wax formulation contains latex — spatula itself is wood).
Adverse Effects
- Rare risk of minor wood splinters if spatula is damaged or wood finish is poor (although product is described as smooth, splinter-free).
- If wax is overheated or applied incorrectly — skin irritation, burns or wax-related reactions (not direct result of spatula).
- Improper disposal or re-use may increase risk of cross-infection or hygienic contamination.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a dry place away from moisture to prevent wood warping or mould growth.
- Keep packaging sealed until use to maintain cleanliness.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or humidity which may degrade wood quality.
- Store away from strong odours or chemicals which may taint wood or affect wax application.
Duration
Single-use per waxing session; spatula disposed immediately after waxing. No ongoing treatment duration applies.
Onset
Not applicable (non-therapeutic tool). Effect is mechanical \u2014 immediate application of wax when used.
