Description
Hygea Hand Wipes - Tub of 200 are alcohol-free, pre-dosed disinfectant hand wipes developed for quick hand cleansing and disinfection when soap and water are not readily available. Supplied in a convenient canister of 200 wipes, they provide an effective and hygienic alternative to traditional handwashing, killing 99.999% of bacteria and offering proven efficacy against non-enveloped viruses such as Norovirus within 30 seconds. The formulation is dermatologically and clinically tested, PT1 biocidal, and designed to be gentle on the skin, enriched with moisturising ingredients to prevent dryness and cracking. These wipes are ideal for patients who are bed bound or have reduced mobility, healthcare workers with limited access to a sink, and visitors who come into contact with patients and high-frequency touchpoints.

Usage
- For external use on hands only.
- Open the tub by lifting the lid and feed the first wipe through the dispensing aperture as directed on the packaging.
- Pull out a wipe and close the lid securely after each use to prevent wipes from drying out.
- Wipe thoroughly over all surfaces of the hands, including between fingers, backs of hands and around nails, ensuring the skin is visibly wet with the solution.
- Allow hands to air dry; do not rinse off. Ensure the contact time recommended by the manufacturer (at least 30 seconds) is achieved for full biocidal effect.
- Use additional wipes if necessary when hands are heavily soiled, first removing visible dirt before performing a second disinfection wipe.
- Dispose of used wipes in appropriate waste bins; do not flush down toilets.
- Use as required throughout the day, particularly after contact with patients, bodily fluids, contaminated surfaces or high-frequency touchpoints.
- Always follow local infection-prevention policies and any additional instructions printed on the product label.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to benzalkonium chloride, aloe vera, vitamin E, fragrance or any other component of the wipe formulation.
- Do not use on broken, extensively damaged or severely irritated skin unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Not intended for use on mucous membranes, in the eyes or on the face of very young children.
- Discontinue use if significant redness, burning, itching, rash or other signs of irritation occur and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
Adverse Effects
- Occasional mild skin irritation, dryness or redness, particularly in individuals with very sensitive skin or with very frequent use.
- Possible allergic contact dermatitis to benzalkonium chloride, fragrance or other ingredients in susceptible individuals.
- If signs of hypersensitivity occur (e.g., rash, swelling, itching), use should be stopped and medical advice sought.
- Eye irritation may occur if the solution accidentally contacts the eyes; rinse thoroughly with water if this happens.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
- Keep the tub tightly closed when not in use to prevent wipes from drying out.

Duration
