Non-woven swabs

Description

Leukoplast 6 Ply Non-Sterile Non-Woven Swabs (Multisorb non-woven swabs) are low-linting, soft and highly absorbent swabs made from a viscose/polyester non-woven material. Each 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm, 6-ply swab can be used to clean wounds, protect the skin or act as a secondary dressing. They absorb up to 40% more fluid (weight for weight) compared with traditional BP Type 13 light gauze swabs, providing effective exudate management while minimising the risk of wound contamination. Supplied non-sterile in a pack of 50, they are suitable for general wound care in clinical and home settings.

Bnefits

  • Low-linting non-woven construction to minimise the risk of wound contamination
  • High absorbency, absorbing up to approximately 40% more fluid (weight/weight) than traditional BP Type 13 light gauze swabs
  • Soft viscose/polyester material provides a good combination of softness and absorbency, suitable as a dressing or swab
  • Can be used for wound cleansing, skin protection or as a secondary dressing
  • 6-ply structure improves absorbency and cushioning compared with thinner swabs
  • 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm size suitable for many common wound sites
  • Non-sterile bulk pack of 50 swabs offers good value for routine use
  • Part of the Leukoplast Compress Non-Woven/Multisorb range of professional wound care swabs

Usage

  • Follow local clinical guidelines and infection-control procedures when using swabs.
  • Clean hands thoroughly and, where appropriate, wear gloves before handling the product.
  • Select an appropriate number of swabs based on wound size and exudate level.

  • Dispose of used swabs and packaging as clinical or household waste in line with local regulations.
