Usage
- Use only on suitable non-food preparation hard surfaces; do not use on food preparation surfaces or any area that may come into direct contact with food.
- Fill an appropriately labelled heavy-duty trigger flask from the 5L container, following site COSHH and decanting procedures.
- Use undiluted: do not dilute before use.
- Spray the product onto a clean, damp cloth or directly onto the surface as appropriate.
- Wipe the surface thoroughly, paying particular attention to corners, edges, underneath shelves and other high-touch or hard-to-reach areas.
- Allow the required contact time (at least 30 seconds to achieve BS EN 1276 bactericidal performance) before wiping off.
- Wipe off with a clean damp cloth or disposable paper towel to remove loosened soil and residues.
- For heavily soiled surfaces, pre-clean to remove gross contamination before applying the product to ensure effective disinfection.
- Do not mix with other cleaning chemicals or detergents, especially other disinfectants or bleach-based products.
- Always follow site risk assessments, COSHH guidance and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and eye protection, particularly for frequent or extensive use.
Contraindications
- Not suitable for use on food preparation surfaces or areas that come into direct contact with food, unless specifically allowed by updated manufacturer instructions (standard guidance advises against such use).
- Do not use on surfaces that are incompatible with acidic, perfumed, quaternary ammonium–based cleaning products (e.g. certain sensitive metals or finishes) without prior spot testing.
- Not for use on skin, clothing, or as a hand or body disinfectant.
- Not for ingestion or internal use under any circumstances.
- Do not use where there is known hypersensitivity to quaternary ammonium compounds, fragrances or other formulation components, particularly for staff frequently exposed to the spray.
Adverse Effects
- May cause serious eye irritation; contact with eyes can lead to redness, pain and watering and requires prompt rinsing and medical advice if symptoms persist.
- May cause skin irritation or dryness on prolonged or repeated contact, particularly in individuals with sensitive skin or without protective gloves.
- Inhalation of spray mists may cause mild respiratory irritation in some users, especially in poorly ventilated areas.
- If swallowed, may cause discomfort, nausea or irritation of the mouth, throat and gastrointestinal tract.
- The product contains substances harmful to aquatic organisms with long-lasting effects; inappropriate disposal of large quantities into drains or surface water can present environmental hazards.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sources of heat and out of direct sunlight.
- Avoid extremes of temperature; do not allow the product to freeze.
- Ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use to prevent leakage and contamination.
- Store in the original container with the label intact, in an upright position.
- Keep out of the reach of children and unauthorised persons.
- Do not store near food, drink or animal feedstuffs.
- Shelf life is typically 24 months from purchase when stored under recommended UK conditions; use within 6 months of opening where practical and in line with local policies.
Duration
Used as a surface cleaner and disinfectant on an as-needed basis during routine or terminal cleaning; not a time-limited medical treatment. Contact time of at least 30 seconds is required to achieve BS EN 1276 bactericidal performance, with longer contact times used according to local protocols where additional assurance is desired.
Onset
Cleaning and deodorising effects are immediate upon application and wiping. Bactericidal activity has been demonstrated to achieve a 99.99% reduction in specified microorganisms within 30 seconds under BS EN 1276 test conditions.
