Antiviral and antibacterial disinfectant wipes (hands and surfaces)
Description
Sanisafe 4C Wipes x 100 are heavy-duty antiviral and antibacterial disinfectant wet wipes designed for rapid disinfection of both hands and hard surfaces. Supplied in a soft flow-wrap pack of 100 single-use wipes, each extra-large wipe (approx. 200–270 mm) is impregnated with an alcohol-based sanitising solution containing bactericides and surfactants. Sanisafe 4C wipes provide proven kill rates against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, viruses (including coronavirus strains and swine flu H1N1) and fungi, and are tested to European norms EN 1276 (bactericidal), EN 1650 (fungicidal) and EN 14476 (virucidal). They are suitable for use in workplaces, clinics, gyms, schools, foodservice, and domestic environments, offering quick, convenient and effective disinfection when handwashing facilities or traditional cleaning products are not immediately available.
Bnefits
- Antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activity with proven kill rates against a broad spectrum of microorganisms, including coronavirus strains, swine flu (H1N1), Salmonella, Listeria, E. coli, MRSA, C. difficile, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
- Tested to key European standards for disinfectant efficacy, including EN 1276 (bactericidal), EN 1650 (fungicidal) and EN 14476 (virucidal).
- Suitable for use on both hands and hard, non-porous surfaces, providing a versatile hygiene solution.
- Heavy-duty, low-lint non-woven wipes sized around 200–270 mm, allowing quick coverage of large contact areas.
- Convenient flow-wrap or soft-pack with clip/flip-top lid for easy single-wipe dispensing and reduced risk of drying out.
- Single-use format minimises cross-contamination risk between surfaces or users.
- Ideal for use where regular handwashing facilities or traditional cleaning methods are not available, such as vehicles, community settings and mobile practice.
- Portable pack of 100 wipes is easy to store and carry in clinics, vehicles, offices and treatment rooms.
Indications
- Rapid disinfection of frequently touched hard surfaces such as desks, door handles, treatment couches, trolleys, phones, keyboards and shared equipment.
- Hand sanitising when soap and water are not readily available, as an adjunct to regular hand hygiene in line with local protocols.
- Use in workplaces, clinics, gyms, schools, hospitality, foodservice, retail and domestic environments requiring convenient antiviral and antibacterial cleaning.
- Additional hygiene support during outbreaks of viral or bacterial illness, including situations involving coronavirus and influenza strains (as per product efficacy data).
Composition
- Alcohol-based disinfectant solution impregnated into non-woven wipes (containing propan-2-ol / isopropyl alcohol as a principal active ingredient).
- Bactericidal agents and surfactants to enhance cleaning performance and microbial kill.
- Water and formulation excipients to stabilise and deliver the active ingredients.
- Non-woven heavy-duty wipe substrate (low-lint, single-use).
Formulation
- Pre-impregnated heavy-duty non-woven sanitising wipes containing an alcohol-based antiviral and antibacterial solution for hands and surfaces.
Packaging
- Soft flow-wrap / flow-pack with clip or flip-top resealable lid for convenient dispensing.
- Contains 100 single-use wipes per pack.
- Typical wipe dimensions approximately 200 mm x 270–290 mm (extra-large format).
- Packed in cartons for bulk supply (commonly 10–12 packs per case, depending on distributor).
Usage
- Open the flow-pack at the resealable opening or flip/clip-top lid and pull out a single wipe; reseal immediately after to prevent remaining wipes from drying out.
- For surfaces: thoroughly wipe the area to ensure it is visibly wetted by the solution, paying attention to high-touch zones. Allow the surface to air-dry and remain wet for at least the contact time specified by local policy (typically from 1 minute) to achieve full disinfectant efficacy.
- For hands: wipe all surfaces of the hands and fingers thoroughly, ensuring complete coverage. Allow hands to air-dry; do not rinse off the solution. Use as an adjunct to, not a replacement for, thorough handwashing with soap and water where available.
- Discard each wipe after single use; do not reuse a wipe on multiple surfaces or people to avoid cross-contamination.
- Do not flush wipes; dispose of in general or clinical waste according to local regulations.
- Avoid direct contact with eyes and do not use on broken or severely irritated skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
- Always follow any additional guidance on the pack and relevant workplace infection-prevention policies.
Contraindications
- Not suitable for use on infants’ skin or sensitive mucosal areas.
- Do not use on broken, inflamed or severely compromised skin unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.
- Not for use on highly delicate or alcohol-sensitive surfaces (e.g. some varnished, lacquered, or acrylic materials, and certain electronics) without first testing on an inconspicuous area.
- Do not use if the pack is damaged, the wipes have dried out, or the solution appears discoloured or contaminated.
- Keep away from open flames, sparks and hot surfaces due to the presence of alcohol; do not smoke while using.
Adverse Effects
- Prolonged or repeated use on skin may cause dryness, mild irritation, or dermatitis in susceptible individuals.
- Contact with eyes may cause stinging and irritation; rinse cautiously with water if eye contact occurs and seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
- Inhalation of vapours from excessive or improper use in poorly ventilated areas may cause mild respiratory or throat irritation.
- Use on incompatible materials may cause surface damage, discolouration or degradation over time.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat or ignition.
- Keep the pack tightly sealed when not in use to prevent wipes from drying out and to maintain product performance.
- Do not store near strong oxidising agents or other incompatible chemicals.
- Protect from freezing and extreme temperatures, following any specific temperature range stated on the packaging.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Duration
Onset
Rapid disinfection, with bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal activity achieved from around 1 minute of contact time on pre-cleaned surfaces in line with EN test protocols.
