Description

AMiKO CMCA Peel is a next-generation professional chemical peel that combines colostrum – often called nature’s “Elixir of Life” – with a strategically balanced complex of alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA) and monochloroacetic acid (MCA). This multi-active colostrum peel is designed to deliver controlled exfoliation while simultaneously nourishing and calming the skin for visible rejuvenation with minimal downtime. It targets hyperpigmentation, acne and post-acne scarring, melasma, sun damage, enlarged pores, uneven texture, excess oil and dullness. Rich in bioactive colostrum-derived growth factors, amino acids and nutrients, the peel supports collagen and elastin production, improves skin barrier function, boosts hydration and promotes smoother, brighter, more even-toned skin. Usage

  • For professional use only – treatment must be performed by trained skin professionals or medical practitioners following official AMiKO protocols.
  • General topical application protocol (face/neck/décolleté/hands/body):
  • 1. Cleanse the skin using a gentle cleanser such as Auric Cleansing and Hydrating Mousse to remove makeup, oil and impurities.
  • 2. Degrease the skin thoroughly according to clinic protocol.
  • 3. Apply AMiKO CMCA Peel to the treatment area using the recommended volumes:
  • • Face: 2 ml
  • • Neck: 1 ml
  • • Décolleté: 2 ml
  • • Hands: 1 ml per hand
  • • Body: 1 ml per palm-sized area
  • 4. Leave the peel on the skin for approximately 2–3 minutes for face and localised areas (some protocols specify up to 3–5 minutes depending on skin and training); for body areas, typical application time is 5–7 minutes.
  • 5. Neutralise using the dedicated AMiKO Neutralising Cooling Gel as directed. IMPORTANT: water alone does not neutralise the chemical reaction; it only helps remove product from the skin once neutraliser has been used.
  • 6. Remove peel and neutraliser thoroughly with water.
  • 7. Apply Auric Day Cream or equivalent soothing post-treatment cream.
  • 8. Finish with Auric SPF or a high-quality broad-spectrum sunscreen as instructed.
  • Combined AMiKO CMCA Peel and microneedling protocol (example from training materials):
  • 1. Cleanse and prepare the skin with Auric Cleansing and Hydrating Mousse; degrease.
  • 2. Apply 1 ml of AMiKO CMCA Peel to the treatment area.
  • 3. Microneedle the skin with a medical microneedling device (e.g. Dermapen) using a single pass at a shallow depth (around 0.25 mm) according to protocol and clinical judgement.
  • 4. Apply a further 1 ml of AMiKO CMCA Peel (no need to massage in).
  • 5. Leave for 2–3 minutes on the face (5–7 minutes on body areas, per protocol).
  • 6. Neutralise thoroughly using AMiKO Neutralising Cooling Gel and then remove with water.
  • 7. Apply AMiKO/AURIC calming or post-treatment mask for up to 15 minutes if indicated, then remove gently.
  • 8. Apply Auric Day Cream and Auric SPF.
  • Recommended course:
  • • 4–6 treatment sessions, spaced approximately every 10–14 days, depending on indication, skin type and practitioner assessment.
  • Pre-peel recommendations (from manufacturer/official protocols):
  • • For at least 10 days before treatment, avoid topical retinoids/retinol, AHA and BHA acids, niacinamide, vitamin C and other active ingredients that can compromise the skin barrier.
  • • Tretinoin should be discontinued for at least 2 months before treatment.
  • • Avoid exfoliating agents for 48 hours and waxing, hair removal or bleaching for at least 7 days prior.
  • • Do not treat if the client has had a cold sore (herpes simplex) within the previous 14 days.
  • Post-peel care (summary):
  • • Use only the recommended AURIC/AMiKO post-care range for at least 7–10 days to ensure safety and optimal results.
  • • Avoid non-mineral makeup for at least 12 hours after treatment.
  • • Avoid AHA/BHA products and retinol for at least 14 days post-peel.
  • • Avoid intense exercise, saunas, heat treatments for 48 hours, and waxing/hair removal/bleaching for 14 days.
  • • Avoid sunbeds, strong sun exposure and self-tanning products for at least 14 days; use a clinic-recommended broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
  • • Do not pick, peel or scratch any flaking skin; allow shedding to occur naturally.
  • All treatments must follow official AMiKO training and written protocols; treatment plans and parameters must be adapted to individual skin type, indications and professional judgement.

Contraindications

  • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to any peel component, especially salicylic acid, aspirin/salicylates, azelaic acid, colostrum/milk-derived proteins or other listed ingredients
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Active cancer or history of certain untreated malignancies (as per medical assessment)
  • Blood-borne infections or blood disorders such as hepatitis or HIV
  • Autoimmune diseases or uncontrolled systemic illnesses (e.g. uncontrolled diabetes) without specialist clearance
  • Active skin infections, open wounds, burns, eczema, dermatitis or severe inflammation in the treatment area
  • Recent use of isotretinoin (Roaccutane) within the previous 6 months
  • Recent aggressive cosmetic procedures (deep peels, ablative lasers, surgery) in the treatment area without adequate healing time
  • History of severe keloid scarring or abnormal wound healing (relative contraindication requiring caution)
  • Any condition or factor which, in the treating professional’s opinion, makes chemical peeling unsafe at that time

Adverse Effects

  • Transient discomfort, stinging or burning sensation during and immediately after application
  • Redness and inflammation in the treated area, usually resolving over several days
  • Temporary peeling or flaking that can persist for up to around 14 days in some individuals
  • Dryness, tightness or increased sensitivity to wind, sun and environmental factors
  • Potential hypo- or hyperpigmentation, especially if sun protection and aftercare are not strictly followed
  • Scabbing, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or post-inflammatory changes in rare cases
  • Risk of infection if the skin barrier is significantly compromised or aftercare is inadequate
  • Recurrence of cold sores (herpes simplex) in susceptible individuals
  • Very rare but possible scarring or more significant textural changes with improper use, poor aftercare or picking at the skin
  • Possible acne breakouts or purging during the post-treatment period in some clients

Storage Conditions

  • Store at a controlled room temperature as specified on the packaging (commonly around 15–25 °C).
  • Keep vials in their original box, protected from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture.
  • Do not freeze the product, as freezing may alter the stability and safety of the peel.
  • Ensure vials remain sealed and sterile until use; discard any opened, unused product in accordance with clinical waste regulations.
  • Observe the expiry date on the packaging and do not use if the vial or packaging is damaged or compromised.

Duration

A standard course consists of approximately 4\u20136 treatment sessions performed every 10\u201314 days. Visible improvements typically evolve over the full course, and maintenance treatments may be scheduled periodically based on skin condition and practitioner recommendation.
