Description

Clinell Hand Sanitising Liquid 520ml (CFA520UK) is a liquid, alcohol-based hand sanitiser developed for healthcare use to provide rapid hand disinfection when soap and water are unavailable. The formulation contains a unique blend of 75% alcohol (70% ethanol and 5% isopropyl alcohol) together with moisturisers including glycerin and natural extracts of aloe vera, helping to prevent dryness and keep skin feeling soft. It kills 99.999% of germs, is effective against a broad range of bacteria, yeasts, fungi, mycobacteria and viruses, and is dermatologically tested. The easy-to-apply liquid comes in a large 520 ml pump dispenser bottle suitable for use at clinical workstations, treatment rooms, reception areas and other points of care.

Usage

  • Ensure hands are visibly clean; if heavily soiled, wash with soap and water and dry before applying hand sanitising liquid.
  • Press the pump to dispense a sufficient amount of product into a cupped, dry hand (typically 3–5 ml, enough to cover all hand surfaces).
  • Rub hands palm to palm.
  • Rub the back of each hand with the palm of the opposite hand with fingers interlaced.
  • Rub palm to palm with fingers interlaced.
  • Rub backs of fingers to opposing palms with fingers interlocked.
  • Rub each thumb rotationally, clasped in the opposite hand.
  • Rub fingertips in the opposite palm in a circular motion to clean fingertips and nails.
  • Include wrists if local protocol requires.
  • Continue rubbing until hands are completely dry; do not wipe off or rinse.
  • Use whenever hand disinfection is required according to local hand hygiene protocols, particularly before and after patient contact, after removing gloves and after contact with potentially contaminated surfaces.

Contraindications

  • Not for use on visibly soiled hands without prior washing with soap and water.
  • Not for use on mucous membranes, around the eyes or on broken or severely damaged skin.

  • Use with caution in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, fragrances, aloe vera or other formulation components.
  • Keep away from sources of ignition; do not use near open flames or while smoking due to high alcohol content.

Adverse Effects
