Blunt-tip dermal filler microcannula

Description

The TSK Closed Single Hole (CSH) Cannula TSKiD Standard 27G x 50mm (2\) is a blunt-tip dermal filler microcannula featuring TSK’s ULTRA thin wall TSKiD Standard barrel technology. Designed for facial aesthetics, it combines a traditional cannula tip shape with an enlarged internal diameter to reduce extrusion force by up to approximately 35% versus conventional cannulas. The closed-tip side hole (single lateral port) and flexible stainless-steel shaft support smoother, more controlled injections with a reduced risk of trauma and bleeding. Each cannula is supplied sterile and single use, intended for the injection of dermal fillers and other soft-tissue augmentation materials in aesthetic procedures.

Bnefits

  • ULTRA thin wall design with enlarged internal diameter for significantly reduced extrusion force (around 35% less than regular cannulas)
  • Smoother and more controlled injection thanks to lower resistance and improved flow
  • Blunt-tip, closed-tip design with single side hole to help reduce the risk of vascular penetration and trauma compared with sharp needles
  • Laser-cut side hole engineered to minimise the risk of bleeding at the injection site
  • Optimal flexibility of the cannula shaft for easier navigation through tissue planes
  • Traditional cannula tip geometry for familiar handling and technique
  • TSKiD Standard barrel technology for consistent lumen size and performance
  • Single-use sterile device to support infection control and patient safety
  • Compatible with a wide range of dermal fillers for facial aesthetics
  • Manufactured by TSK, a specialist in premium injection needles and cannulas

Indications

  • Injection of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers in facial aesthetic procedures
  • Soft tissue augmentation and contouring where a blunt microcannula is preferred over a sharp needle
  • Procedures requiring reduced risk of bruising and trauma compared with multiple sharp-needle entry points
  • Use by trained healthcare professionals in medical aesthetic treatments, in accordance with local regulations

Composition

  • Cannula shaft: surgical stainless steel (blunt-tip, closed-tip side-hole design)
  • Hub: hard polymer (PRC / control hub, colour-coded for gauge)
  • Sterilisation: typically ethylene oxide (EO) gas (single use, sterile)

Formulation

  • Blunt-tip microcannula with closed tip and single lateral side hole (Closed Single Hole, CSH)
  • TSKiD Standard ULTRA thin wall barrel for increased inner diameter at 27G
  • Flexible stainless-steel shaft designed for subdermal and supraperiosteal tunnelling
  • Luer-lock compatible hub for secure connection to standard syringes
  • Disposable, single-use, sterile medical device

Packaging

  • Box of 25 sterile, individually blister-packed cannulas
  • Each blister contains one 27G x 50mm (2") CSH cannula
  • Packaging labelled with gauge, length, lot number and expiry date

Usage

  • For use only by appropriately trained and qualified healthcare professionals experienced in dermal filler injection techniques.
  • Select the appropriate cannula gauge and length for the planned procedure and treatment area.
  • Inspect the sterile packaging before use; do not use if the blister or pouch is damaged or opened.
  • Attach the cannula hub securely to a compatible luer-lock syringe containing the chosen filler product, ensuring a tight connection.
  • Create an entry point in the skin with a suitable introducer needle of corresponding or slightly larger gauge, following aseptic technique.
  • Insert the blunt-tip cannula through the entry point and advance along the desired tissue plane using appropriate clinical technique.
  • Inject product slowly through the side hole while withdrawing or moving the cannula, monitoring tissue response and patient comfort.
  • Do not bend or reshape the cannula excessively, as this may damage the shaft or compromise performance.
  • After use, carefully withdraw the cannula, dispose of it immediately in an approved sharps or clinical waste container, and do not attempt to resterilise or reuse.
  • Follow relevant local guidelines and the filler manufacturer’s instructions regarding injection depth, volume and anatomical safety zones.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to surgical stainless steel or any component of the device.
  • Not for use in areas with active skin infection, inflammation or compromised tissue integrity at the intended entry site.
  • Contraindicated in patients for whom dermal filler injections or similar aesthetic procedures are medically inappropriate according to clinical judgement and product-specific guidance.
  • Do not use if the sterile packaging is damaged, opened or past the labelled expiry date.

Adverse Effects

  • Potential for local bruising, swelling, erythema, discomfort or tenderness at the entry or injection sites, as with other cannulas and needles.
  • Inappropriate technique or incorrect anatomical placement may lead to complications associated with dermal filler injections (e.g. vascular compromise), which require prompt recognition and management by a qualified practitioner.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a clean, dry environment at room temperature.
  • Protect from excessive heat, direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Keep in original packaging until point of use to maintain sterility.
  • Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
  • Keep out of reach of children and unauthorised persons.
