Salicylic acid chest and back peel for acne
Description
Enerpeel SA-CB Chest & Back is a specialised medical salicylic acid chemical peel formulated in the patented Enerpeel carrier system specifically for the treatment of comedonic and inflammatory acne on the chest and/or back. It combines 30% salicylic acid with the OSK acne-complex actives triethyl citrate, ethyl linoleate and GT-peptide-10 to control sebum, bacterial activity, inflammation and hyperkeratinisation within the pilosebaceous unit. The Enerpeel carrier delivers these actives deeply into acne-prone body areas while minimising surface irritation, so redness and downtime are reduced compared with conventional salicylic peels. Each professional pack from Fillers Direct contains 8 x 5 ml vials for in-clinic use.
Bnefits
- Dedicated protocol for treating comedonic and inflammatory acne on the chest and back
- 30% salicylic acid provides strong sebostatic, comedolytic and keratolytic action in acne-prone skin
- Triethyl citrate and ethyl linoleate help inhibit bacterial lipases, reduce sebum and modulate inflammation
- GT-peptide-10 supports anti-inflammatory and reparative processes in acne lesions
- Targets the four main visible signs of acne (comedones, papules, pustules and oiliness) on large chest and back areas
- Patented Enerpeel carrier restrains surface activity then drives actives into the pilosebaceous unit, reducing surface erythema and visible peeling
- Medical protocol reported to kill a high percentage of acne bacteria, including antibiotic-resistant strains, when combined with corresponding homecare
- Average application time before removal/neutralisation is a few minutes, with relatively limited downtime for a body peel
- Can be integrated into comprehensive acne management plans alongside Enerpeel SA for the face and OSK-based homecare products
Indications
- Comedonic and inflammatory acne on the chest
- Comedonic and inflammatory acne on the back
- Oily and seborrhoeic skin on chest and back with enlarged or blocked follicles
- Follicular congestion and body breakouts linked to hormonal or seborrhoeic tendencies
- Post-acne textural irregularities and blemishes on chest and back as part of a broader acne protocol
Composition
- Salicylic acid 30%
- Triethyl citrate
- Ethyl linoleate
- GT-peptide-10
- Patented Enerpeel carrier solution
- Excipients suitable for topical chemoexfoliation (medical-device formulation)
Formulation
- Liquid salicylic acid peel formulated in the Enerpeel carrier technology for enhanced, uniform penetration
- Active acid concentration: 30% salicylic acid providing strong keratolytic and sebostatic effects
- Incorporates triethyl citrate, ethyl linoleate and GT-peptide-10 (OSK complex) to reduce sebum output, inhibit acne-related bacterial activity and control inflammation
- Enerpeel carrier restrains proton activity at the skin surface before accelerating penetration into deeper follicular structures, reducing surface trauma and erythema
- Chemoexfoliation depth: very superficial to superficial for trunk skin, with a focus on the pilosebaceous unit within chest and back areas
- Designed as a medical protocol for use on limited large areas (e.g. chest or back per session) due to 30% salicylic acid concentration
Packaging
- Box containing 8 x 5 ml vials of Enerpeel SA-CB Chest & Back solution
- Each 5 ml vial provides sufficient product for treating the chest or the back in a single session, depending on body size and protocol
- Professional-use presentation for in-clinic application only
- Typically used in conjunction with Enerpeel preparatory products and Enerpeel Neutraliser wipes/solution as part of the complete system
Usage
- For professional in-clinic use only by trained medical or aesthetic practitioners.
- Take a complete medical and dermatological history and assess acne severity, skin type and risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Cleanse the chest or back thoroughly to remove surface oils, sweat and debris.
- Degrease and prepare the skin according to Enerpeel protocol, commonly using an appropriate pre-peel solution or wipe.
- Protect highly sensitive or non-target areas (e.g. areolae, any open lesions, fresh scars) with barrier products as per clinic protocol.
- Open one 5 ml vial of Enerpeel SA-CB and pour into a sterile dish or use directly with the supplied applicator/brush.
- Apply a uniform layer of the peel over the acne-affected area of the chest or back using a brush or applicator, avoiding mucous membranes and broken skin.
- Allow the peel to act for several minutes (typically around 3–7 minutes), monitoring patient comfort and clinical endpoints such as erythema and visible salicylate crystallisation on the surface.
- At the end of the prescribed exposure time, or earlier if indicated by patient discomfort or skin response, neutralise/remove the peel according to Enerpeel protocol—usually by wiping with Enerpeel Neutraliser wipes or solution and/or with damp cotton pads to remove precipitated salicylic acid.
- After removal/neutralisation, gently pat dry and apply soothing, hydrating and barrier-supportive post-peel products as recommended, followed by broad-spectrum sunscreen on any exposed areas.
- Advise the patient to avoid excessive heat, friction and UV exposure on the treated areas for several days and to follow a recommended OSK-based homecare regimen to maintain results.
- Do not treat multiple large body areas with 30% salicylic acid in a single session; for safety, limit each peel to chest or back or another single region as per manufacturer recommendations.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to salicylic acid, triethyl citrate, ethyl linoleate, GT-peptide-10 or any component of the Enerpeel SA-CB formulation.
- Active skin infections, open wounds, widespread eczema, psoriasis or severe dermatitis in the intended treatment area.
- Extensive sunburn or significant irritation of the chest or back at the time of proposed treatment.
- Recent ablative procedures, deep peels or other resurfacing treatments on the same area where healing is incomplete.
- History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring or impaired wound healing, unless carefully assessed and monitored by a medical professional.
- Current or very recent systemic isotretinoin therapy, where strong chemical peels on large body areas are generally contraindicated (follow local guidelines).
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding as a precaution, unless the supervising physician explicitly approves treatment in line with local regulations.
- Very dark Fitzpatrick skin types at high risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation unless treated by an experienced clinician under strict protocols.
- Patients unable or unwilling to adhere to post-peel instructions, particularly avoidance of scratching and adherence to appropriate body photoprotection.
Adverse Effects
- Transient warmth, burning or stinging sensations during application, usually subsiding after removal/neutralisation.
- Temporary erythema, dryness, tightness and mild flaking or superficial peeling of the treated chest or back skin over subsequent days.
- Formation of a white, powdery salicylic precipitate on the skin surface during treatment, which is expected and removed at the end of exposure.
- Risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, particularly in darker skin types or if post-procedure sun exposure occurs without adequate protection.
- Less commonly, more persistent erythema, oedema or irritation which may require topical treatment and modification of subsequent peel parameters.
- Rarely, blistering, erosions, secondary infection or scarring if protocols are exceeded, contraindications ignored or aftercare is inadequate.
- Possible allergic or idiosyncratic reactions to salicylic acid, the OSK actives, the carrier solution or associated pre-/post-peel products.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Keep vials in their original packaging and tightly closed until use to prevent evaporation or degradation.
- Observe any specific storage temperature recommendations in the Enerpeel SA-CB instructions for use (typically controlled room temperature unless otherwise specified).
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
- Keep out of reach of children and non-professional users.
Duration
Enerpeel SA-CB is typically used within a course of several treatments (for example, 3–4 peels) performed at intervals of around 2–3 weeks, depending on acne severity, skin response and clinical protocol. Each in-clinic peel session involves a contact time of a few minutes (approximately 3–7 minutes) before removal/neutralisation. Maintenance courses can be repeated as needed, guided by clinical outcomes and patient tolerance.
Onset
Initial improvements in oiliness and inflammatory lesion activity on the chest and back are often visible within the first one or two sessions, while more substantial clearing of acne, reduction in congestion and improvement in texture typically develop progressively over the full course of treatments and consolidate in the weeks following the last peel, especially when combined with appropriate homecare and photoprotection.
