Pre-peel degreasing and pH-adjusting solution

Description

FILLMED PrePeel 100 ml is a professional pre-peeling solution formulated to cleanse, degrease and gently lower the skin’s pH before applying a chemical peel. With gluconolactone as its active ingredient and a pH around 4, it optimises skin readiness, removes oils and residues, and enhances peel penetration — while maintaining good tolerability, even on sensitive skin. It constitutes STEP 1 in the FILLMED peel protocol and ensures a uniform, safer peel application.

Bnefits

  • Prepares skin for chemical peel by cleansing and degreasing
  • Gently lowers skin pH (~4) to prime skin for peel penetration
  • Improves uniformity and consistency of peel results
  • Enhances the efficacy of subsequent chemical peels (e.g. TIME PEEL, BRIGHT PEEL, LIGHT PEEL)
  • Suitable for sensitive skin due to gluconolactone-based, gentle PHA formulation
  • Helps remove makeup, oil, and residues that may interfere with peel
  • Reduces risk of uneven peel penetration and irritation
  • Professional-use product supporting safe, controlled peel protocols

Indications

  • Skin preparation prior to chemical peel treatments
  • Degreasing and cleansing of the treatment area before peel application
  • Use before superficial chemical peels for anti-aging, pigmentation correction or skin renewal
  • Pre-treatment cleansing for all skin types, including sensitive skin, prior to peel procedures

Composition

  • Gluconolactone (polyhydroxy acid, PHA) – gentle exfoliant and pH-lowering agent
  • Aqueous solution with cleansing and degreasing agents suitable for pre-peel skin preparation
  • Buffered to approximately pH 4 to mildly acidify the skin and prepare it for peel
  • Excipients typical for topical pre-procedure skincare (full INCI listed in official IFU)

Formulation

  • Topical aqueous pre-peel solution
  • Contains gluconolactone (PHA) for gentle pH adjustment
  • Non-injectable, non-rinsing / possibly rinse-off depending on protocol after peel application
  • Designed for in-clinic, professional use only as first step before chemical peel

Packaging

  • 1 × 100 ml plastic or glass bottle of PrePeel solution
  • Professional-format packaging with batch number, expiry date, product name and usage instructions
  • Intended for clinic-backbar use by qualified aesthetic or medical practitioners

Usage

  • For professional use only: to be used by trained medical or aesthetic practitioners.
  • Before chemical peel, ensure skin is free from make-up, sunscreen, and topical residues.
  • Apply PrePeel to treatment area using cotton pads or gauze swabs, covering the entire area intended for peeling.
  • Allow the solution to act briefly to degrease and gently acidify/prepare the skin (pH approx. 4).
  • Let skin dry naturally before applying the chosen chemical peel (e.g. TIME PEEL, BRIGHT PEEL, LIGHT PEEL).
  • Ensure eyes and mucous membranes are protected; avoid contact.
  • Do not use PrePeel as a final rinse — it is strictly a pre-peel preparatory solution.
  • Dispose or close bottle after use and follow standard clinic hygiene protocols.

Contraindications

  • Known allergy or hypersensitivity to gluconolactone or any component of the formulation
  • Visible skin infection, open wounds, eczema or dermatitis in the treatment area
  • Severely irritated or compromised skin barrier where pre-peel products are contraindicated
  • Use on mucous membranes, eyes or lips is contraindicated
  • Any contraindication associated with the subsequent peel treatment must also be observed

Adverse Effects

  • Mild stinging or tingling on sensitive skin upon application
  • Temporary mild redness (erythema) in some individuals
  • Rare allergic reactions in individuals sensitive to gluconolactone or other components
  • If irritation occurs, discontinue use and evaluate skin before proceeding with peel

Storage Conditions

  • Store at room temperature (approximately 15–25 °C).
  • Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
  • Protect from excessive heat, direct sunlight, and freezing.
  • Store in original packaging until first use to preserve integrity.
  • Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

Duration

Applied once immediately before each peel session. Frequency depends on peel protocol (commonly 4 sessions spaced ~14 days apart).

Onset

Skin cleansing, degreasing and pH adjustment occur immediately upon application; skin is ready for peel within a few minutes.
