Multi-target mandelic acid facial peel for moderate skin aging and superficial pigmentations

Description

MANDELAGE 30ml INNOAESTHETICS (INNO-EXFO MANDELAGE) is a professional, multi-target mandelic acid chemical peel designed to treat moderate skin aging, superficial pigmentations and open pores. Formulated with mandelic acid, lipoic (alpha-lipoic) acid and vitamin A, delivered using INNOAESTHETICS’ Smart GPS guidance system, this controlled microexfoliation peel gently renews the epidermis, evens skin tone, refines texture and helps control mild inflammatory acne while maintaining a favourable tolerance profile. It is indicated for skin photoaging, superficial dyschromias and oily or acne-prone skin with enlarged pores. The peel has a low pH (<2), produces light to no visible peeling with mild, transient discomfort, and allows an immediate or very short recovery time, making it suitable for sequential treatments (minimum 6 sessions) in medical-aesthetic practice.

Bnefits

  • Targets moderate skin aging and superficial pigmentations with a controlled mandelic acid peel.
  • Gently exfoliates the epidermis to refine skin texture, smooth fine lines and improve firmness and brightness.
  • Helps treat superficial dyschromias and uneven skin tone, providing a more homogeneous complexion.
  • Sebum-regulating and anti-microbial action supports the management of oily, congested skin and mild inflammatory acne.
  • Reduces the appearance of enlarged and open pores, improving overall skin quality.
  • Multi-target action: anti-ageing, anti-acne, depigmenting and restructuring effects in a single protocol.
  • Light peel with immediate or minimal downtime (typically 0–2 days), compatible with active lifestyles.
  • Formulated for professional use with controlled pH (<2) and Smart GPS technology to optimise penetration and safety.

Indications

  • Moderate facial skin aging (photoaging) with fine lines, texture irregularities and loss of luminosity.
  • Superficial dyschromias and pigmentary irregularities, including epidermal hyperpigmentation and sun spots.
  • Mild inflammatory acne and post-acne congestion in suitable skin types.
  • Oily and seborrhoeic skin with enlarged or open pores.
  • Patients needing gentle but effective epidermal renewal with minimal downtime.
  • Adjunctive treatment to improve skin structure, firmness and radiance in anti-ageing protocols.

Composition

  • Mandelic Acid (approx. 45% as the main exfoliating alpha-hydroxy acid).
  • Lipoic Acid (Alpha-Lipoic Acid) providing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.
  • Vitamin A (Retinol/retinoid) to stimulate epidermal renewal and support dermal restructuring.
  • Smart GPS® (Guidance Performance System) vehicle complex to optimise delivery of active ingredients to targeted skin layers.
  • Acidic vehicle and excipients adjusted to a product pH < 2 for controlled chemical microexfoliation.

Formulation

  • Professional-use, liquid chemical peel solution.
  • Active acid system based primarily on mandelic acid plus lipoic acid and vitamin A.
  • pH of the product: < 2.
  • Designed for controlled chemical microexfoliation (INNO-EXFO system).
  • Topical application by trained practitioners only; not for home use or self-application.

Packaging

  • Single 30 ml glass bottle / jar of MANDELAGE peel solution per pack.
  • INNO-EXFO professional line labelling with product name, batch number and expiry date.
  • Outer carton with usage indications, professional-use-only statement and safety information.
  • Intended to be used over a course of multiple peel sessions in clinic.

Usage

  • For professional use only by medical or aesthetic practitioners trained in chemical peel procedures and facial anatomy.
  • Perform a full medical and dermatological history, including prior peels, photosensitising medications (e.g. isotretinoin), history of keloids, PIH and active skin disease.
  • Prepare the skin according to the INNO-EXFO protocol (typically cleansing and degreasing with appropriate pre-peel solutions).
  • Apply MANDELAGE evenly over the treatment area with a suitable applicator (e.g. fan brush or gauze), avoiding eyes, mucous membranes and compromised skin.
  • Monitor patient sensation (mild itching or burning is expected) and skin response throughout contact time; contact time and number of layers should follow manufacturer protocol and clinician judgement.
  • Neutralise or remove the peel according to protocol (e.g. with INNO-EXFO Neutralizer or copious water), then apply post-peel repair and photoprotection products as recommended.
  • Schedule a minimum of 6 sessions, usually spaced several weeks apart, adjusting frequency and intensity based on skin response and indication.
  • Advise patients to avoid sun exposure, heat, aggressive cosmetics, scrubs, waxing or laser procedures on the treated area for several days after each session, and to use broad-spectrum sunscreen daily.
  • Do not use as a home-care peel; instruct patients on appropriate adjunctive INNO homecare (e.g. INNO-EPIGEN and INNO-DERMA products) where indicated between sessions.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to mandelic acid, lipoic (alpha-lipoic) acid, vitamin A (retinoids) or any component of the formulation.
  • Active skin infection, dermatitis, eczema, open wounds, cold sores or other inflammatory dermatoses in the treatment area.
  • Recent use of systemic isotretinoin (within the time frame specified by current clinical guidelines, often 6–12 months) unless explicitly cleared by a specialist.
  • History of keloids, hypertrophic scarring or significant post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in response to minor trauma, where peel risk is judged unacceptable.
  • Severe, uncontrolled systemic disease or immunosuppression that could impair healing.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding (chemical peels with high-strength acids and vitamin A derivatives are generally avoided due to limited safety data).
  • Recent sunburn or intense UV exposure in the treatment area.
  • Use of other strong exfoliating treatments (e.g. other peels, ablative lasers, dermabrasion) in the same area within a period considered unsafe by the clinician.

Adverse Effects

  • Expected transient effects: erythema, mild to moderate burning or itching during application, and post-treatment tightness or dryness.
  • Light, fine desquamation or mild flaking in the days following treatment, although peeling is often minimal or not clinically evident.
  • Temporary exacerbation of sensitivity or mild irritation, especially in reactive skin.
  • Risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), particularly in higher phototypes or if post-peel sun protection is inadequate.
  • Less common: prolonged erythema, oedema, crusting or more intense peeling if protocol is not properly followed or in very sensitive skin.
  • Rare: allergic or idiosyncratic reactions, secondary infection, scarring or persistent dyschromia when contraindications or post-care instructions are not respected.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place at controlled room temperature as indicated on the packaging.
  • Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use to minimise oxidation and evaporation.
  • Protect from direct sunlight, heat sources and freezing.
  • Keep out of reach of children and non-professional users.
  • Do not use after the expiry date or if the solution shows signs of marked discolouration, precipitation or compromised packaging.

Duration

Typically performed as a course of at least 6 in-clinic peel sessions, commonly spaced every 2\u20133 weeks over approximately 2\u20133 months, with maintenance sessions thereafter according to clinical assessment and patient needs.

Onset

Initial improvements in brightness and texture are usually visible after the first few sessions, with more pronounced reductions in superficial pigmentations, pores and fine lines developing progressively over the full course of 6 or more treatments.
