At-Home Chemical Peel (AHA/PHA Peel Pads)

Description

Exuviance Advanced Series Performance Peel AP25 is a professional-level, at-home chemical peel kit designed to reveal smoother, brighter and more radiant skin. The two-step system uses a 25% blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) and Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) in single-use pads to exfoliate dead, dull surface cells and then neutralise the peel. Key acids include Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid and Gluconolactone, which work together to refine pores, improve texture, even skin tone and promote an all-over healthy glow. Each kit provides a 6-week supply: 13 Step 1 Activator Pads and 13 Step 2 Neutralizer Pads.

Bnefits

  • High-performance, at-home chemical peel inspired by professional med-spa treatments.
  • 25% AHA/PHA blend exfoliates dead, dull surface cells to reveal fresher, healthier-looking skin.
  • Helps refine the appearance of enlarged pores and smooth rough skin texture.
  • Visibly diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with regular use.
  • Improves clarity and brightness and helps even out skin tone.
  • Promotes an all-over healthy glow, softness and suppleness.
  • Includes Gluconolactone (PHA), which offers gentle exfoliation plus antioxidant and barrier-supporting benefits.
  • Convenient pre-soaked pad format makes application controlled, hygienic and easy to use at home.
  • Suitable for use on face and, as directed, on neck, chest and backs of hands for overall radiance.

Indications

  • Dull, lacklustre skin in need of radiance and smoothness.
  • Fine lines and early wrinkles.
  • Uneven skin tone and mild discolouration.
  • Rough, uneven skin texture.
  • Enlarged or visible pores.
  • Maintenance between in-office peel treatments, as advised by a skincare professional.

Composition

  • Overall system: 25% blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) and Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA), including Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid and Gluconolactone.
  • Step 1 Activator Pad (typical full INCI): Aqua (Water, Eau), Mandelic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Gluconolactone, Ammonium Hydroxide, Arginine, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Bisulfite, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben.
  • Step 2 Neutralizer Pad (typical full INCI): Aqua (Water, Eau), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bicarbonate, Glycine, Benzalkonium Chloride.

Formulation

  • Two-step, leave-on then neutralised peel system in pre-soaked, single-use pads.
  • Step 1 Activator: 25% AHA/PHA solution (Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Gluconolactone) to chemically exfoliate the skin.
  • Step 2 Neutralizer: buffered solution with Sodium Bicarbonate and humectants to neutralise acids and help comfort skin.
  • Non-rinse after neutraliser step except as directed (rinsing with water after neutralisation is part of protocol).
  • Free from lidocaine; formulated as a cosmetic at-home peel.

Packaging

  • Contains a 6-week supply:
  • 13 x Step 1 Activator Pads (1.5 mL / 0.05 fl oz per pad).
  • 13 x Step 2 Neutralizer Pads (1.5 mL / 0.05 fl oz per pad).
  • Pads are individually packaged for single use to maintain potency and hygiene.
  • Outer carton with usage instructions and precautions.

Usage

  • Prior to first full-face use, perform a patch test: apply one Step 1 Activator Pad followed by one Step 2 Neutralizer Pad on a small, inconspicuous area of the face as directed and wait 24 hours to ensure tolerance.
  • On treatment days, cleanse skin thoroughly and pat dry.
  • Step 1: Gently wipe one Activator Pad over the entire face, avoiding eyes, lips and any areas of sensitivity or irritation; pads may also be used on neck, chest and backs of hands if tolerated and as directed.
  • Monitor skin response during the application period for signs of excessive redness, stinging, burning, itching, tightness or discomfort; if these occur, proceed to neutralisation sooner.
  • Allow the Activator to work for up to approximately 10 minutes, or less if sensitivity occurs.
  • Step 2: Wipe one Neutralizer Pad over the treated area (avoiding eyes and lips) to neutralise the acids, then rinse thoroughly with water if instructed by the protocol.
  • Follow with a gentle moisturiser or hydrating treatment; use broad-spectrum sunscreen daily while using this product and for a period after use.
  • Use up to twice weekly as tolerated; reduce frequency if irritation, peeling or discomfort occurs.
  • Do not use on broken, compromised or sunburned skin and avoid combining with other strong exfoliants or retinoids on the same night unless directed by a professional.

Contraindications

  • Known hypersensitivity or allergy to Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Gluconolactone or any listed ingredients.
  • Very sensitive, reactive or rosacea-prone skin that does not tolerate chemical exfoliants.
  • Active skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis flare, open wounds, cuts, abrasions or sunburn in the treatment area.
  • Concurrent use of prescription topical treatments that significantly compromise barrier function unless approved by a healthcare provider.
  • Recent in-office resurfacing procedures (chemical peels, laser, microneedling) on the treatment area unless cleared by the treating professional.
  • Use on eyelids, lips, mucous membranes or inside the nose is contraindicated.

Adverse Effects

  • Common, usually transient effects: mild stinging, tingling, burning, redness, tightness or dryness after use.
  • Temporary flaking or mild peeling may occur as exfoliation increases cell turnover.
  • In susceptible individuals, potential for irritation, contact dermatitis or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, especially if overused or used on compromised skin.
  • Rarely, more intense burning, swelling or blistering can occur if left on too long, used too frequently or applied to sensitive/damaged skin; product should be discontinued and medical advice sought if severe reactions occur.
  • Increased photosensitivity due to AHA/PHA use; sunburn risk may be elevated without adequate photoprotection.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
  • Keep sachets sealed in the original carton until use to maintain stability and prevent drying of pads.
  • Ensure sachets are properly closed until opened for single use; discard pads immediately after use.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Duration

Configured as a 6-week regimen (13 two-step treatments) when used up to twice weekly. Visible benefits may be noticed after the first few uses, with progressive improvements in texture, clarity and tone over the full 6-week course. Results can be maintained with continued periodic use as tolerated.

Onset

Skin often appears smoother and more radiant after the first few treatments, with noticeable refinement in texture, pore appearance, fine lines and tone typically observed within about 4 weeks of twice-weekly use when combined with a compatible skincare regimen.
