Description

Alkotip Alcohol Pre Injection Swabs (250) are sterile skin cleansing swabs impregnated with 70% isopropyl alcohol. They are intended for pre-operative site preparation, skin disinfection before injections and for cleansing the skin prior to applying dressings. Each swab is individually wrapped to maintain sterility and convenience, with 250 swabs supplied per box.

Packaging

Usage

Tear open the individual sachet at the indicated notch.
Remove the swab, taking care not to touch the pad surface that will contact the skin.
Apply the swab to the intended skin area using a firm, circular motion, moving outward from the injection or procedure site.
Allow the area to air dry completely before performing the injection or procedure.
Discard the used swab and sachet in an appropriate clinical waste container.
For external use on intact skin only; do not reuse swabs.

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity or allergy to isopropyl alcohol or any component of the swab.
Application to broken, irritated or eczematous skin unless specifically directed by a healthcare professional.
Use on mucous membranes or in or near the eyes.

Transient stinging or burning sensation on application.
Dryness or irritation of the skin with repeated use.
Rare allergic or hypersensitivity reactions in susceptible individuals.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry place.
Keep away from sources of heat, sparks and open flames (highly flammable).
Keep the box closed when not in use and do not use sachets that are damaged or open.
Store out of reach of children.
