Cyclizine 50 mg tablets are an antihistamine and anti-emetic medication used to prevent and relieve nausea, vomiting and dizziness associated with motion sickness, vertigo, postoperative nausea, and other causes. Taken orally, they act by blocking H₁ histamine receptors and muscarinic receptors in the brain to reduce signals triggering nausea and vomiting. The tablets are standard-strength and commonly used in both adult and paediatric patients (children 6 years and older) under medical guidance.

Indications
Prevention and treatment of motion sickness (nausea, vomiting, dizziness).

Less common: dizziness, urinary retention, difficulty passing urine (especially in people with prostate enlargement), dry throat, blurred vision, gastrointestinal disturbance.
Rare but serious: allergic reactions (rash, swelling of face/lips/throat, breathing difficulty), severe urinary retention, severe skin reactions, confusion, hallucinations or other neurological effects, especially in overdose or misuse.
Storage Conditions
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store in original packaging to protect tablets from moisture and light, and keep blister packs intact until use.
Duration
Duration depends on the cause \u2014 for motion sickness, tablets may only be needed for the travel period; for other causes (e.g. postoperative nausea, vertigo), use as directed by physician \u2014 short-term or as clinically indicated.
Onset
Cyclizine typically starts to work about 30 minutes after oral intake, with relief often felt within 1\u20132 hours.
