Disposable FFP2 NR D valved particulate respirator, 3-panel flat-fold

Description

The 3M™ Aura™ 9322+ FFP2 Valved Respirator is a disposable, flat-fold particulate respirator with a Cool Flow™ exhalation valve, rated FFP2 NR D under EN 149:2001+A1:2009. It features 3M’s Aura™ 3-panel design for greater facial movement, a low breathing resistance filter for easier breathing, a sculpted, low-profile nose panel and an embossed upper panel to help reduce eyewear fogging. Colour-coded blue headbands identify the FFP2 protection level. Each respirator is individually hygienically wrapped, CE marked (0086) and designed to protect against medium levels of fine dusts and oil or water based mists up to 10 × Workplace Exposure Limit (WEL) in industrial and healthcare environments.

Bnefits

  • FFP2 NR D rating under EN 149:2001+A1:2009, helping protect against medium levels of fine dusts and oil or water based mists in concentrations up to 10 × Workplace Exposure Limit (WEL).
  • Aura™ 3-panel flat-fold design accommodates facial movement for improved comfort and reduces mask slippage during work.
  • Low breathing resistance filter technology provides effective filtration with easier breathing and consistent high performance.
  • 3M™ Cool Flow™ valve helps reduce heat and moisture build-up inside the respirator by venting exhaled air, improving comfort in hot or humid conditions and during physical work.
  • Sculpted, low-profile nose panel and large soft nose foam improve compatibility with 3M eyewear and help enhance the seal across nose and cheeks.
  • Embossed top panel is designed to reduce eyewear fogging for clearer visibility.
  • Colour-coded blue headbands indicate FFP2 performance level and aid quick identification of protection class.
  • Flat-fold, individually hygienic packaging helps protect the respirator from contamination before use and makes it easy to carry and store.
  • Latex-free construction (no components made from natural rubber latex) reduces the risk of latex-related reactions.

Indications

  • Personal respiratory protection for workers exposed to airborne solid dust particles and/or non-volatile liquid particles (mists, aerosols) where FFP2-level protection is required.
  • Use in industrial, construction, maintenance, cleaning, waste removal, agriculture, manufacturing and other work environments listed in 3M’s 9300+ Series technical data sheet as suitable for FFP2-level particulate respirators.
  • Recommended medical PPE for primary, outpatient, community and social care settings where FFP2 respiratory protection against particulate hazards is indicated.
  • Use in environments where airborne biological particles (e.g. certain bacteria or viruses) may be present, provided usage is within the limitations and guidance given in the 3M technical data sheet and relevant local infection prevention policies.

Packaging

  • Supplied as a box of 10 respirators (3M Aura 9322+ FFP2 valved, flat-fold particulate respirators).
  • Each respirator is individually hygienically wrapped to protect from contamination before use.
  • Outer carton identifies model 9322+, FFP2 NR D classification, CE mark 0086, EN 149:2001+A1:2009 and pack size of 10.
  • Packaging includes a marked shelf life (use-by date), batch/lot information and fitting/use instructions as per 3M product labelling.

Usage

  • Users must read and understand all instructions on the product packaging and the 3M 9300+ Series technical data sheet before use; misuse may cause injury, severe or life-threatening illness.
  • Check that the respirator is within its stated shelf life and that all components are undamaged before use; do not use damaged or expired products.
  • Fit the respirator according to 3M fitting instructions: unfold the panels, place the respirator on the face with the nosepiece up, position the headbands (upper on the crown, lower below the ears), mould the nose clip with both hands to the nose and cheeks, and perform a fit check.
  • Perform a fit check before entering the hazardous area (for valved models like 9322+, a fit check is performed by sharply inhaling while covering the respirator to detect leakage). If a proper seal cannot be achieved, do not enter the hazardous area.
  • Wear the respirator continuously during exposure to airborne contaminants and replace it if it becomes damaged, soiled, breathing resistance becomes excessive, or at the end of the work shift (NR – non-reusable, single-shift use only).
  • Do not use the respirator in atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen, in atmospheres that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH), or for protection against gases and vapours.
  • Do not use the respirator for hardwoods or lead-based paints where other specific respiratory protection may be required.
  • Do not use with beards or other facial hair that may prevent a good seal between the face and the respirator.
  • Dispose of used respirators as contaminated or hazardous waste in accordance with local regulations; do not attempt to clean, modify or reuse.

Contraindications

  • Do not use in atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen.
  • Do not use in atmospheres that are immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) or where contaminant type or concentration is unknown.
  • Not suitable for protection against gases or vapours.
  • Do not use for hardwoods or lead-based paints where different or additional respiratory protection may be required.
  • Do not use if proper fit cannot be achieved or if facial hair (such as beards) or other conditions prevent a good seal between the face and the respirator.
  • Do not use if the respirator is damaged, deformed, soiled, or past its marked use-by date.

Adverse Effects

  • Failure to follow all instructions for selection, fitting, use and maintenance may adversely affect wearer health and could lead to serious or life-threatening illness or permanent disability due to inadequate protection from airborne contaminants.
  • Possible discomfort or breathing difficulty if used inappropriately, for prolonged periods, or if the respirator becomes clogged or damaged.
  • Potential for dizziness or other distress if breathing becomes difficult; in such cases the user should leave the contaminated area immediately and remove/replace the respirator.
  • Local skin pressure or irritation may occur on the nose or face in some users due to the seal and headband tension, particularly with prolonged wear.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in clean, dry conditions within a temperature range of −20 °C to +25 °C with a maximum relative humidity of <80%, as specified in the 3M 9300+ Series technical data sheet.
  • Store and transport in the original packaging to protect the respirators from physical damage and contamination.
  • The 3M Aura 9300+ Series respirators have a shelf life of 5 years; the end of shelf life is marked on the product packaging and products should not be used beyond this date.

Duration

Single shift (NR \u2013 non-reusable); respirator should be discarded at the end of the work shift or earlier if damaged, soiled or if breathing resistance becomes excessive. It is not a medicinal treatment with a defined course duration.

Onset

Not publicly listed (protective effect is dependent on correct selection, fitting and continuous wear, rather than a pharmacological onset time).
