- After use, follow local uniform-care policies: machine wash at up to 40 °C and allow to dry fully before re-use.
- Do not use harsh bleaching agents or excessively high washing or drying temperatures, as these may degrade the fabric or colour.
- Inspect the garment regularly for wear, damage or broken fastenings and replace it if it no longer provides an acceptable professional appearance or function.
Contraindications
- No specific medical contraindications for use; not a medical or protective device.
- Use with caution in individuals with known sensitivities or allergies to polyester or specific textile dyes.
- Not designed as high-visibility or specialist protective clothing; where additional protection (e.g., hi-vis, flame-retardant, chemical-resistant garments) is required by local risk assessment, this fleece should be worn in conjunction with or replaced by appropriate PPE.
- Should not be used in environments where loose garments or drawcords present a specific entanglement or safety hazard without appropriate risk assessment and mitigation.
Adverse Effects
- Potential mild skin irritation or discomfort in individuals sensitive to polyester fabrics or sewing seams.
- Overheating or discomfort if worn in very warm conditions without adequate venting or removal.
- If poorly maintained (e.g., heavily worn, torn or soiled), the garment may detract from a professional appearance or fail to meet local uniform standards.
Storage Conditions
- Store clean and fully dry in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight when not in use to minimise colour fading.
- Keep away from direct heat sources, open flames and strong chemicals that may damage synthetic fibres.
- Hang on a hanger or fold neatly to avoid excessive creasing or deformation.
- Follow any additional storage or care instructions provided by the employer or on the garment care label.
