Unisex low-cut S3 SRC ESD metal-free safety shoe

Description

The Aura S3 SRC Metal Free Unisex Safety Shoe is a low-cut, 100% metal-free S3 safety shoe from Safety Jogger, supplied in black full-grain leather with electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection. It combines a composite toe cap, puncture-resistant SJ Flex textile midsole and dual-density PU/PU outsole to provide S3 SRC protection with slip resistance, anti-static properties, heel energy absorption and water-resistant upper performance. The shoe features a breathable mesh lining and SJ Foam footbed for comfort, making it suitable for healthcare, electronics, industrial and other environments where ESD control and robust foot protection are required.

Bnefits

  • Metal-free design reduces issues with metal detectors and offers lightweight protection.
  • S3 SRC classification provides protection against impacts, penetration, and water penetration with a slip-resistant outsole.
  • Composite safety toe cap helps protect against impact and compression while remaining lighter than steel.
  • Puncture-resistant SJ Flex textile midsole helps protect against sharp objects underfoot.
  • Electrostatic discharge (ESD) properties help dissipate static electricity to protect sensitive electronic components.
  • Antistatic and anti-slip PU/PU outsole offers stable grip on a variety of workplace surfaces.
  • Water-resistant full-grain leather upper helps keep feet dry in damp working conditions.
  • Breathable mesh lining and SJ Foam footbed improve comfort during prolonged wear.
  • Unisex low-cut styling suitable for a wide range of professions, including clinical and industrial settings.

Indications

  • Use as protective safety footwear in workplaces where S3 SRC and ESD-certified shoes are required.
  • Occupations involving regular exposure to static-sensitive equipment or components, such as electronics, laboratories and IT environments.
  • Healthcare, medical, dental and aesthetic clinics where staff require comfortable, supportive, closed safety footwear with slip resistance and protective toe caps.
  • Light to heavy industrial environments, construction, logistics and warehousing where there is risk of impact from falling objects, sharp debris underfoot or slippery/oily floors.
  • Workplaces that require metal-free footwear for use around metal detectors or security screening.

Composition

  • Upper: Full-grain or nappa action leather (black), water-resistant.
  • Lining: Mesh / recycled mesh textile lining for breathability.
  • Footbed/insole: Removable SJ Foam footbed.
  • Midsole: Puncture-resistant SJ Flex textile anti-perforation midsole.
  • Outsole: Dual-density PU/PU (polyurethane) outsole, slip-resistant and oil/fuel resistant.
  • Toecap: Composite safety toe cap (metal-free).

Formulation

  • Reusable low-cut S3 SRC ESD leather safety shoe.
  • 100% metal-free safety footwear with composite toe cap and textile anti-perforation midsole.
  • Safety classification: S3 / SRC ESD (and in latest documentation S3S / SR, ESD, FO) according to EN ISO 20345.

Packaging

  • Typically supplied as one pair of Aura S3 SRC Metal Free safety shoes per retail shoe box.
  • Multiple pairs may be shipped together in an outer cardboard carton for bulk or trade orders.
  • Product labelling includes size, safety rating (S3 SRC ESD) and Safety Jogger branding.

Usage

  • Select the correct shoe size using the manufacturer’s size guide to ensure proper fit and comfort.
  • Before first use, inspect the shoes to confirm there is no visible damage and that the sole, midsole and toe cap area are intact.
  • Fully loosen the laces, place the foot into the shoe and tighten the laces evenly to secure the heel and mid-foot without causing pressure points.
  • Wear suitable work socks to optimise comfort and wick away moisture.
  • Use the shoes only in environments and for tasks appropriate for S3 SRC ESD safety footwear; they are not designed for extreme heat, molten metal or chemical immersion.
  • Regularly inspect the outsole, upper and toe area for signs of excessive wear, cuts, cracks or sole separation; replace the shoes if protective features appear compromised.
  • Clean the leather upper with a damp cloth and mild detergent as needed, and allow to air dry away from direct heat sources; apply appropriate leather care products if recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Remove the insole periodically to allow it and the interior of the shoe to dry thoroughly between shifts, especially in high-humidity environments.

Contraindications

  • Not suitable for environments requiring protection beyond S3 SRC ESD, such as exposure to molten metal, extreme heat, strong acids or solvents unless specifically allowed by local risk assessment.
  • Not a substitute for specialised footwear where cut-resistance, chainsaw protection or other specific features are mandated.
  • Users with significant foot deformities, severe peripheral neuropathy or other orthopaedic conditions should seek professional advice before relying on standard safety footwear.
  • Do not use if the shoe is visibly damaged, the sole is excessively worn, the upper is torn or the toe cap area is deformed.
  • Not sterile footwear and not intended for use as theatre or operating-room sterile shoes.

Adverse Effects

  • Potential for blisters, pressure points or discomfort if incorrect size is chosen or if laces are over-tightened.
  • Possible foot fatigue or pain with prolonged standing or walking if shoes are poorly fitted or insoles are worn out.
  • In rare cases, contact dermatitis or irritation in individuals sensitive to components of the leather, adhesives or lining materials.
  • Reduced slip-resistance and increased fall risk if the outsole becomes heavily worn, clogged with debris or contaminated with certain substances.
  • If used beyond their intended safety classification or when deteriorated, there is risk of inadequate protection from impact, penetration or static discharge.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and excessive heat sources.
  • Keep away from chemicals, oils or solvents that could degrade the leather upper, midsole or outsole materials.
  • Allow shoes to dry naturally at room temperature if they become wet; do not dry directly on radiators, heaters or open flames.
  • When not in use for extended periods, store clean shoes in their original box or on a shelf to prevent deformation.

Duration

Reusable safety footwear designed for long-term daily use; service life depends on frequency of wear, work environment and maintenance. Replace when damaged, excessively worn or when safety performance can no longer be assured.

Onset

Immediate protective benefit when the shoes are correctly fitted and laced, and used in an appropriate environment that matches their S3 SRC ESD rating.
