Black heavy-duty diamond-textured nitrile examination gloves

Description

Aurelia Bold MAX Powder Free Black Nitrile Gloves are heavy-duty, premium black nitrile examination gloves engineered for high tensile strength and superior chemical and puncture resistance. With a 6.0 mil (approx. 0.15 mm) nominal thickness and a full diamond-textured surface, they deliver exceptional grip and control, especially in wet or oily conditions. These non-sterile, ambidextrous, latex-free gloves are supplied in boxes of 50 Large-size gloves, are powder free, and are tested as both medical examination gloves and Category III PPE against chemicals and microorganisms.

Bnefits

  • Heavy-duty 7.5 g nitrile construction (approx. 6 mil) provides excellent durability, puncture resistance and tensile strength.
  • Full diamond-textured surface offers unrivalled grip and control, particularly in wet, oily or greasy environments.
  • Premium nitrile formulation delivers superior chemical resistance compared to latex or vinyl examination gloves within tested ranges.
  • Powder-free and latex-free design reduces the risk of powder-related contamination and latex-associated allergies.
  • Black colour helps mask stains such as oil, grease, ink, dyes or blood, and offers high contrast for contamination visibility.
  • Ambidextrous design and beaded cuff make donning and removal easier while improving cuff strength.
  • Medical grade with AQL 1.5 and tested to EN 455 1–4 for use as single-use examination gloves.
  • Certified to EN ISO 374-1, 2, 4, 5 for protection against dangerous chemicals and microorganisms, including viruses (Type B JKPT).
  • Food-contact compliant (BS EN 1186), suitable for food handling applications when required.

Indications

  • Use as non-sterile examination gloves in medical, dental and healthcare settings where heavy-duty protection is desirable.
  • Aesthetic medicine, dermatology, tattooing, piercing and beauty procedures requiring robust, dark-coloured gloves with excellent grip.
  • Automotive, mechanical, engineering and maintenance tasks with exposure to oils, grease, fuels and dirt.
  • Industrial, janitorial, cleaning and facilities management tasks requiring strong disposable chemical-resistant gloves within tested EN ISO 374 limits.
  • Laboratory and pharmaceutical environments where chemical splash, biological materials and contamination risks are present.
  • Food handling and preparation tasks where food-contact-approved gloves are required.
  • Applications where metal-free, latex-free examination gloves are preferred for allergy or process reasons.

Usage

  • Check the box and inner packaging before use; do not use if packaging is damaged or if the product is past its expiry date.
  • Ensure hands are clean and dry; remove jewellery or trim nails that could puncture or tear the glove.
  • Select the correct size (Large) to ensure a snug, comfortable fit without excessive stretching.
  • To don, remove a glove from the dispensing box by the cuff, insert the fingers and thumb, then pull the beaded cuff over the wrist, smoothing out any folds.
  • Repeat for the other hand, maintaining aseptic technique where clinically indicated.
  • During use, avoid contact with chemicals outside the glove’s validated EN ISO 374 resistance list; follow local COSHH/risk assessments.
  • Change gloves between patients, between different tasks on the same patient, or immediately if the glove is torn, punctured, heavily soiled or after contact with aggressive chemicals.
  • To remove, grasp the outside of one glove near the wrist and peel it off inside out, holding it in the gloved hand; slide an ungloved finger under the cuff of the remaining glove and peel it off over the first glove without touching the contaminated exterior.
  • Dispose of used gloves safely according to local clinical, hazardous or general waste requirements; do not reuse single-use gloves.
  • Wash or sanitise hands after glove removal as per hand-hygiene protocols.

Contraindications

  • Known or suspected hypersensitivity or allergy to nitrile or any of the glove’s compounding ingredients or colourants.
  • Use in procedures that require sterile surgical gloves; Bold MAX gloves are non-sterile examination gloves.
  • Use with highly aggressive chemicals, solvents or cytotoxic agents not covered by the glove’s EN ISO 374 chemical resistance data or manufacturer guidance.
  • Use in high-heat, open flame or molten-material environments; nitrile examination gloves are not flame- or heat-resistant PPE.
  • Do not use if gloves show signs of degradation such as brittleness, stickiness, tears, holes, discolouration or if the packaging is compromised.

Adverse Effects

  • Possible skin irritation, contact dermatitis or allergic reactions in sensitised individuals exposed to nitrile compounds, accelerators or dyes.
  • Skin maceration or excessive sweating if gloves are worn continuously for extended periods without breaks.
  • Reduced tactile sensitivity and fine motor control if incorrect size is used or more than one glove is worn per hand.
  • Inadequate protection and increased risk of exposure if gloves are reused, worn beyond their intended duration or used with incompatible chemicals.
  • Potential tearing or puncture if used with sharp instruments, long nails or jewellery, compromising barrier integrity.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, UV sources and excessive heat.
  • Recommended storage temperature typically between 5°C and 25°C; avoid freezing temperatures and high heat.
  • Keep away from ozone generators and chemicals, oils or solvents that may degrade nitrile.
  • Store in the original packaging until use to protect from dust, moisture and contamination.
  • Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging, in line with EN 455-4 shelf-life requirements.

Duration

Single-use disposable glove intended for one task or patient contact episode only; must be changed between tasks, between patients, or whenever damaged or visibly contaminated.
