Heavy duty orange diamond-textured nitrile examination gloves
Description
Aurelia Ignite Powder Free Orange Nitrile Gloves are premium quality, heavy-duty orange nitrile examination gloves designed for tough environments and precise work. Manufactured from 100% nitrile with a 7 mil single-wall construction and an 8.4 g (±0.2 g) glove weight, they provide significantly greater tensile strength, puncture resistance and chemical resistance than comparable latex or vinyl gloves. The double-sided diamond-textured surface delivers advanced Max Grip performance in dry, wet or oily conditions, while the bright orange colour offers high visibility. These non-sterile, ambidextrous, powder-free, latex-free gloves are medical grade (AQL 1.5), chemo and fentanyl rated, and supplied in boxes of 100 Medium-size gloves.
Bnefits
- Heavy-duty 7 mil nitrile construction with 8.4 g (±0.2 g) glove weight for outstanding durability and puncture resistance.
- Premium diamond-textured surface on both sides provides advanced Max Grip performance, particularly in oily, wet or greasy conditions.
- High visibility orange colour improves safety and makes contamination and tears easier to spot.
- Superior tensile strength and chemical resistance compared with typical latex and vinyl examination gloves within tested ranges.
- Powder-free and latex-free formulation minimises the risk of powder-related contamination and latex allergy reactions.
- Medical grade with AQL 1.5, suitable for examination use in healthcare and emergency settings.
- Chemo- and fentanyl-tested (ASTM D6978-05) for added protection in high-risk environments.
- Beaded cuff improves donning, reduces risk of tearing at the cuff and helps prevent roll-down during use.
- Ambidextrous design and robust construction make the gloves versatile for medical, industrial, automotive and EMS applications.
Indications
- Non-sterile medical and dental examinations and procedures requiring heavy-duty disposable gloves.
- Emergency medical services (EMS), paramedic and first-responder use, including handling of high-risk substances such as fentanyl (within tested parameters).
- Automotive, mechanical, engineering and maintenance tasks involving oils, grease, fuels and solvents within the glove’s tested chemical resistance.
- Industrial, janitorial and facilities-management work where robust disposable protection and strong grip are required.
- Laboratory, pharmaceutical and biotechnology environments involving biological materials and certain chemicals, subject to EN ISO 374 data and local risk assessments.
- Aesthetic medicine, dermatology, tattooing, piercing and beauty procedures where a durable, high-contrast glove with excellent grip is preferred.
- Food handling and food-processing tasks where food-contact-compliant gloves are required.
Composition
- Material: Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), 100% latex free.
- Colour: Bright orange.
- Surface: Double-sided diamond-textured grip (Max Grip texture).

- Non-sterile, single-use nitrile examination glove.
- Heavy-duty 7 mil orange nitrile formulation for enhanced strength and protection.
- Double-sided diamond-textured surface for advanced gripping in challenging conditions.
- Ambidextrous design to fit either hand.
- Beaded cuff to prevent roll-down and reinforce the cuff edge.
- AQL 1.5 (freedom from holes), medical grade.
- Available sizes: Medium, Large, Extra Large and XXL; this listing refers specifically to Medium.
Packaging
- Medium (97887) and Large (97888): 100 powder-free orange nitrile gloves per dispenser box.
- XL (97889) and XXL (97880): typically 90 gloves per dispenser box, as stated by distributors and the product sheet (10 x 90 configuration).
- Standard outer case configuration: 10 boxes per case (e.g. 10 x 100 for M and L; 10 x 90 for XL and XXL).
- Dispenser box with perforated opening for controlled single-glove dispensing.
- Packaging clearly marked with product name, size, lot number, manufacture date, expiry date, regulatory symbols and usage information.
Usage
- Inspect the outer carton and dispenser box for damage and check the expiry date before use; do not use if packaging is compromised or the product is expired.
- Ensure hands are clean and dry prior to donning; remove sharp jewellery and trim nails to minimise risk of tearing.
- Select the correct size (Medium) for a snug yet comfortable fit that does not restrict movement or circulation.
- Remove a glove from the dispenser by the cuff, insert the fingers and thumb, and gently pull the beaded cuff over the wrist, smoothing out folds to ensure full coverage.
- Repeat with the second glove, maintaining aseptic technique where clinically required.
- Avoid contact with chemicals or cytotoxic agents not listed as suitable in the glove’s EN ISO 374 chemical-resistance data or local COSHH documentation.
- Change gloves between patients, between clean and dirty tasks on the same patient, and immediately if the glove becomes torn, punctured, heavily soiled, or after contact with aggressive chemicals.
- To remove, grasp the outside of one glove near the wrist and peel it off inside out, holding it in the gloved hand; slide an ungloved finger under the cuff of the remaining glove and peel it off over the first glove, avoiding contact with the exterior surface.
- Dispose of used gloves promptly in accordance with local clinical, hazardous or general waste procedures; never wash or reuse single-use gloves.
- After glove removal, wash or sanitise hands following current hand-hygiene guidelines.
Contraindications
- Known or suspected hypersensitivity or allergy to nitrile or other chemicals used in the glove formulation (e.g. accelerators or dyes).
- Use as a replacement for sterile surgical gloves in procedures that require sterile barrier protection, as Ignite gloves are non-sterile examination gloves.
- Use with strong chemicals, solvents, cytotoxic drugs or other substances outside the glove’s validated EN ISO 374 chemical-resistance profile and local risk assessments.
- Use in environments with open flames, high heat or molten materials; nitrile examination gloves are not flame- or heat-resistant PPE.
- Do not use if gloves are brittle, sticky, torn, punctured, discoloured or show other signs of degradation, or if packaging has been compromised.
Adverse Effects
- Potential for skin irritation, contact dermatitis or allergic reactions in sensitised individuals due to nitrile compounds or residual processing chemicals.
- Excessive sweating and skin maceration when gloves are worn continuously for extended periods without breaks.
- Reduced fine tactile sensitivity and manual dexterity if an incorrect glove size is chosen or multiple gloves are worn on the same hand.
- Risk of barrier failure and exposure to biological or chemical hazards if gloves are reused, worn beyond their intended duration, or used with incompatible chemicals.
- Increased risk of tearing or puncture when used with sharp instruments, long nails or rough surfaces, potentially compromising protection.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, UV sources and strong artificial light.
- Maintain storage temperature within the range recommended on the packaging (typically 5°C to 25°C), avoiding excessive heat, cold or high humidity.
- Keep away from ozone-generating equipment and chemicals, oils or solvents that may degrade nitrile.
- Store gloves in their original packaging until required to protect them from dust, moisture and environmental contamination.
- Observe a maximum shelf life of 5 years from the date of manufacture under recommended storage conditions, and do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
Duration
Single-use disposable glove intended for one task or patient contact episode only; must be changed between tasks or patients, or sooner if damaged or visibly contaminated.
Onset
Provides immediate barrier protection and enhanced grip once donned correctly and while the glove remains intact.
