Blue powder-free nitrile examination gloves
Description
Aurelia Robust Nitrile Powder Free Gloves are premium quality sky-blue nitrile examination gloves designed to provide greater tensile strength, puncture resistance and chemical resistance than comparable latex and vinyl gloves. Made from 100% nitrile with a 4.5 mil (approx. 0.11 mm) nominal thickness and fully micro-textured finish, these non-sterile, ambidextrous gloves deliver durable, all-day protection with superior comfort and dexterity. Each batch is air-tested to detect pinholes, and the gloves are manufactured and certified as both medical devices and Category III PPE. This listing refers to the Small size, supplied in a dispenser box of 100 powder-free blue nitrile examination gloves.
Bnefits
- Premium sky-blue nitrile formulation offers greater tensile strength and puncture resistance than comparable latex and vinyl examination gloves.

Packaging
- Dispenser box containing 100 blue powder-free nitrile examination gloves (by count) in size Small.
- Standard case configuration: 10 boxes per outer carton (10 x 100 = 1,000 gloves).
- Dispenser box features a perforated opening for easy single-glove dispensing.
- Packaging clearly marked with product name (Aurelia Robust), size (Small), lot/batch number, manufacturing and expiry dates, and relevant regulatory symbols.
- Outer shipping case printed with product description, size range, quantity, manufacturer/distributor details and barcodes for logistics and stock rotation.
- Shelf-life indicated as up to 5 years from date of manufacture when stored under recommended conditions.
Usage
- Before use, check that the outer carton and dispenser box are intact and that the gloves are within the indicated expiry date.
- Ensure hands are clean and dry; remove sharp jewellery and trim nails to minimise the risk of puncturing the glove.
- Select the correct size (Small) to ensure a snug but comfortable fit that allows full range of motion without excessive stretching.
- Remove a glove from the dispenser by the cuff, avoiding contact with multiple gloves where possible.
- Insert fingers and thumb fully into the glove and pull the beaded cuff over the wrist, smoothing out any folds to ensure an even fit.
- Repeat the process for the opposite hand, using aseptic technique where required in clinical environments.
- During use, avoid contact with chemicals or cytotoxic agents that are not listed as compatible in the glove’s EN ISO 374 chemical-resistance data or local COSHH assessments.
- Change gloves between patients, between different tasks on the same patient, and immediately if the glove is torn, punctured, heavily soiled or after contact with aggressive chemicals.
- To remove, grasp the outside of one glove near the wrist and peel it off inside out, holding it in the gloved hand; slide an ungloved finger under the cuff of the remaining glove and peel it off over the first glove, avoiding contact with the outer glove surfaces.
- Dispose of used gloves in accordance with local infection-control, clinical waste or general waste policies; do not wash or reuse disposable gloves.
- After glove removal, wash or sanitise hands according to current hand-hygiene guidelines.
Contraindications
- Known or suspected allergy or hypersensitivity to nitrile or any of the chemicals (e.g., accelerators, pigments) used in the glove formulation.
- Use as a substitute for sterile surgical gloves in procedures that require a sterile barrier; Aurelia Robust gloves are non-sterile examination gloves.
- Use with aggressive chemicals, solvents or cytotoxic drugs beyond the glove’s tested EN ISO 374 chemical-resistance profile and local risk assessments.
- Use in environments involving open flame, high heat or molten materials; nitrile examination gloves are not heat- or flame-resistant PPE.
- Do not use if gloves appear brittle, sticky, discoloured, torn, punctured or otherwise degraded, or if the packaging is damaged or opened before use.
Adverse Effects
- Possible skin irritation, contact dermatitis or allergic reactions in susceptible individuals due to nitrile compounds or residual process chemicals.
- Excessive sweating and skin maceration when gloves are worn continuously for prolonged periods without rest or glove changes.
- Reduced fine tactile sensitivity and manual dexterity if the wrong glove size is worn or if multiple glove layers are used.
- Increased risk of contamination or exposure if gloves are reused, worn beyond their intended duration, or used with sharp instruments that may puncture the glove.
- If gloves are used with chemicals outside their tested resistance profile, permeation can occur and lead to chemical exposure.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry, clean environment away from direct sunlight and strong artificial light.
- Maintain storage temperatures typically below 40°C, avoiding extremes of heat and cold and excessive humidity as indicated on the packaging.
- Keep gloves away from ozone-generating devices and from chemicals, oils, solvents and fumes that could degrade nitrile.
- Store in the original packaging until required to protect from dust, moisture and contaminants.
- Rotate stock on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis and do not use gloves beyond the expiry date printed on the packaging.
Duration
Single-use disposable examination glove intended for one procedure or task only; must be changed between patients or tasks, or sooner if damaged or visibly contaminated.
Onset
Provides immediate barrier protection and grip enhancement as soon as the glove is correctly donned and remains intact.
