Ultra-thin cobalt blue powder-free nitrile examination gloves (box of 200, Medium)

Description

Aurelia Sonic 200 Blue Nitrile Examination Gloves (Medium) are ultra-thin, premium cobalt blue nitrile examination gloves engineered to deliver exceptional comfort, flexibility and tactile sensitivity while maintaining reliable protection. Manufactured from 100% nitrile with a 2.2 mil (approx. 0.06 mm) palm thickness and finger thickness of around 0.09–0.11 mm, these non-sterile, powder-free and latex-free gloves provide increased tensile strength and puncture resistance compared with latex and vinyl alternatives. The finger-textured finish enhances grip and control, and the beaded cuff aids donning and reduces tearing. Supplied as 200 gloves per box (Medium), Sonic 200 combines cost-saving, space-saving packaging with medical-grade and PPE certifications, making it suitable for healthcare, dental, laboratory, aesthetic, food-handling and general industrial applications.

Bnefits

  • Ultra-thin 2.2 mil nitrile construction delivers excellent tactile sensitivity and dexterity for precision tasks.
  • Cobalt/indigo blue colour provides soothing appearance and high contrast, popular in medical, dental and aesthetic environments.
  • Nitrile formulation offers higher tensile strength and puncture resistance than comparable latex and vinyl examination gloves.
  • Finger-textured finish improves grip and instrument control in dry, wet or slightly oily conditions.
  • Powder-free and 100% latex-free design minimises the risk of powder-related contamination and latex allergy reactions.
  • Beaded cuff enhances strength at the cuff edge, facilitates easier donning and helps prevent roll-down during use.
  • Medical grade (EN455, AQL 1.5) and PPE certified, providing dependable barrier protection against microorganisms and selected chemicals.
  • Food-contact approved under EN1186, suitable for handling a wide range of foodstuffs.
  • Cost-saving and space-saving packaging with 200 gloves per box reduces storage requirements and packaging waste.
  • Suitable for splash-resistant handling of cytotoxic/chemotherapy drugs where permitted by local risk assessment.

Indications

  • Non-sterile medical and dental examinations and procedures requiring medical-grade disposable gloves.
  • Aesthetic medicine, dermatology, cosmetic and beauty treatments (e.g. injectables, skin procedures) where high sensitivity and a professional appearance are required.
  • Laboratory, diagnostic and pharmaceutical work involving biological materials and selected chemicals covered by the glove’s EN ISO 374 profile.
  • Veterinary examinations and procedures requiring a latex-free, medical-grade glove.
  • Food handling and food preparation where food-contact-compliant disposable gloves are required.
  • General hygiene, infection control, cleaning and janitorial tasks in healthcare, community and social-care settings.
  • Industrial and light engineering environments where a thin but strong disposable nitrile glove is suitable for short-duration tasks.
  • Situations where latex-free gloves are required for staff or patients with latex allergy or hypersensitivity.

  • Standard outer case configuration: 10 boxes per case (10 x 200 = 2,000 gloves).
  • Boxes are machine packed to optimise space efficiency and ensure consistent packing density.
  • Dispenser box incorporates a perforated opening for convenient single-glove dispensing.
  • Packaging displays product name (Aurelia Sonic 200), size (Medium), lot number, manufacture date, expiry date, and regulatory and safety symbols.
  • Outer shipping carton is labelled with product description, size range, quantity, barcodes and Supermax/Aurelia branding for simplified logistics and stock rotation.

Usage

  • Before use, visually inspect the dispenser box and outer packaging to ensure there is no damage and confirm that the gloves are within their labelled expiry date.
  • Wash and dry hands thoroughly; remove rings or sharp jewellery and trim nails to reduce the risk of tearing the gloves.
  • Select the appropriate glove size (Medium) for a snug and comfortable fit that does not restrict movement or circulation.
  • Open the dispenser box and withdraw one glove by the cuff, touching primarily the inner surface where possible.
  • Insert fingers and thumb fully into the glove and gently pull the beaded cuff over the wrist, smoothing out any folds or tension points.
  • Repeat with the second glove, taking care to maintain aseptic technique where clinically required.
  • During use, avoid contact with chemicals or cytotoxic agents that fall outside the glove’s validated EN ISO 374 chemical-resistance performance and local COSHH or safety data.
  • Change gloves between patients, between clean and dirty tasks on the same patient, and immediately if gloves become torn, punctured, heavily soiled or contaminated with potentially hazardous substances.
  • To remove, grip the outside of one glove near the wrist and peel it off inside out, holding it in the still-gloved hand; slide an ungloved finger under the cuff of the remaining glove and peel it off over the first glove to avoid contact with contaminated outer surfaces.
  • Dispose of used gloves promptly in appropriate clinical, cytotoxic or general waste streams in accordance with local regulations; do not reuse disposable gloves.
  • After glove removal, perform hand hygiene with soap and water or an appropriate hand sanitiser, following current local or institutional guidelines.

Contraindications

  • Known or suspected allergy or hypersensitivity to nitrile or to chemical accelerators, pigments or other components used in the glove formulation.
  • Use as a substitute for sterile surgical gloves in invasive or sterile-field procedures; Sonic 200 gloves are non-sterile examination gloves.
  • Use with aggressive chemicals, solvents or cytotoxic/chemotherapy drugs beyond the glove’s validated splash-resistance and EN ISO 374 performance and local risk assessment.
  • Use near open flames, high heat sources or molten materials, as nitrile examination gloves are not designed to be heat- or flame-resistant.
  • Use of gloves that are visibly damaged, brittle, sticky, discoloured or past their expiry date, or when packaging integrity has been compromised.

Adverse Effects

  • Potential for skin irritation, contact dermatitis or allergic reactions in sensitised individuals due to nitrile compounds or residual processing chemicals (e.g. accelerators, dyes).
  • Excessive perspiration and possible maceration of the skin when gloves are worn continuously for prolonged periods without breaks.
  • Reduced fine tactile discrimination if incorrect size is selected or if multiple glove layers are worn.
  • Risk of barrier failure and exposure to biological or chemical hazards if gloves are reused, worn beyond intended duration, or used with sharp instruments or surfaces that can puncture or tear the glove.
  • If used with chemicals or cytotoxic agents outside their tested resistance limits, permeation may occur and lead to chemical exposure.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and strong artificial light.
  • Maintain storage temperature below approximately 40°C and avoid extreme heat, cold and high humidity as indicated on the packaging.
  • Keep away from ozone sources and chemicals, oils, solvents and fumes that could degrade nitrile.
  • Retain gloves in their original dispenser box and outer carton until required, to protect from dust, moisture and environmental contamination.
  • Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation and do not use gloves beyond the expiry date marked on the packaging.
  • Avoid placing heavy loads on top of glove cartons that could crush or deform the dispensers and gloves.

Duration

Single-use disposable glove intended for a single patient contact or task; must be changed between patients or tasks and immediately if damaged, compromised or heavily contaminated.

Onset

Provides immediate barrier protection, grip and tactile sensitivity as soon as the glove is correctly donned and remains intact.
