Usage
- Select the correct size and width according to Birkenstock’s sizing guidance, ensuring sufficient length and width in the toe box without pressure on the forefoot.
- Insert the removable cork-microfiber footbed and make sure it is properly seated before wearing.
- Lace the shoes firmly using the 6-hole lacing system so that the foot is held securely, without excessive pressure on the instep or ankle.
- Wear the QO 500 as everyday occupational footwear during work shifts in environments where O2-certified footwear is appropriate and toe-cap protection is not mandatory.

- Clean the water-resistant smooth leather upper regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed; avoid harsh solvents, scouring agents or machine washing.
- Allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature after cleaning; do not dry on radiators, near open flames or under intense direct sunlight, as extreme heat may damage leather, cork and adhesives.
- Remove the footbed periodically to air it and, when soiled, wash gently at low temperatures (for example, by hand or using a delicate cycle as per Birkenstock’s care recommendations); allow it to dry fully before reinserting.
- Inspect the outsole regularly for wear or damage; replace the shoes when tread depth is significantly reduced or slip resistance appears compromised.

- Do not place heavy objects on top of the shoes during storage to avoid deforming the upper or compressing the cork footbed.
