Blue Sterile Nitrile Gloves Pair Pack of 50 - Large are sterile, latex-free, powder-free nitrile examination gloves supplied as individually wrapped pairs in a box of 50. Designed for use in primary, outpatient, community and social care settings, these gloves provide a durable barrier against blood and blood-stained body fluids, chemicals and contaminants while maintaining high tactile sensitivity and comfort. The gloves are CE marked (0088) as sterile medical devices, conform to EN 455 Parts 1–4 and EN 374, have an AQL of 1.5 and are suitable for procedures requiring a sterile, high-quality nitrile glove. Usage

  • Check the packaging for integrity and expiry date before use; do not use if packaging is damaged or past the use-by date.
  • Perform hand hygiene and dry hands thoroughly before donning the gloves.
  • Select the correct size (Large) for optimal fit and reduced hand fatigue.
  • Open the outer pack aseptically and remove the inner sterile pair packaging.
  • Peel open the inner wrapper; using the non-dominant hand, pinch the inside of the glove cuff and insert the dominant hand, avoiding contact with the outer surface.
  • Don the second glove using a gloved hand, taking care not to touch non-sterile surfaces.
  • During use, avoid contact with sharp objects and change gloves immediately if torn, punctured or heavily contaminated.
  • Remove gloves by peeling from the wrist and turning them inside out, avoiding contact with the contaminated outer surface.
  • Dispose of used gloves as clinical or infectious waste in accordance with local protocols; do not reuse or re-sterilise.
  • Store unused gloves in their original packaging between uses and avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

Contraindications

  • Known or suspected allergy or hypersensitivity to nitrile or any glove chemical additives (e.g. accelerators, residual monomers).
  • Not suitable for individuals requiring natural rubber latex gloves when specifically indicated.
  • Not intended as a substitute for sterile surgical gloves for invasive surgical procedures where surgical-grade gloves are required.
  • Not suitable for protection against extreme heat, open flame, molten metal, radiation or high-voltage electrical hazards.

Adverse Effects

  • Allergic contact dermatitis or irritation in users sensitive to nitrile or glove additives.
  • Occlusion-related skin effects such as sweating, maceration or discomfort during prolonged wear.
  • Very rarely, Type IV hypersensitivity reactions to chemical accelerators.
  • If adverse skin reactions occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Recommended storage temperature typically between 5°C and 35°C; avoid excessive heat, humidity and freezing conditions.
  • Keep away from ozone sources and chemicals that may degrade nitrile.
  • Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
  • Do not use if inner or outer packaging is open, torn or otherwise compromised, as sterility may be lost.

Duration

Transient use; intended for single-use clinical procedures typically less than 60 minutes in duration.
