Description
Reusable, quick-drying dignified adult aprons (clothing protectors) designed to provide discreet protection of clothing during mealtimes and personal care. Manufactured by MIP in durable Ivyleaf-pattern 100% polyester with a PVC fluid-proof backing, they help reduce laundry processing costs while offering excellent absorbency, durability and comfort. The aprons feature an adjustable snap-closure neckline, are flame retardant to British Standard BS 7175, machine washable up to 95°C, and measure approximately 45 x 90 cm. Available in multiple colours including blue, green, ivory and maroon.

Usage
- Place the apron around the user’s neck with the Ivyleaf polyester surface facing outward and the fluid-proof backing towards the clothing.
- Adjust and secure the snap-closure at the neckline to achieve a comfortable, secure fit without restricting movement or breathing.
- Ensure the apron lies flat over the chest and lap to maximise protection from food and fluid spills.
- Use during meals, drinks or other activities where splashes or spills may occur.
- After use, remove the apron by releasing the snap-closure and avoiding contact of soiled areas with the user’s face or neck.
- For light soiling, wipe down the surface with a mild detergent or suitable cleaning solution as per facility protocol.
- For thorough cleaning, machine wash up to 95°C in accordance with institutional laundry procedures.
- Tumble dry on a medium heat setting; ensure the product is completely dry before reuse or storage.
- Do not bleach and do not iron, as this may damage the fluid-proof backing or flame-retardant properties.
- Inspect regularly for signs of wear, damage to the backing, or failed closures and replace if integrity is compromised.
Contraindications
- Do not use in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to polyester or PVC materials.
- Not suitable as a burn or fire-protective garment; keep away from open flames and high-intensity heat sources despite flame-retardant properties.
- Discontinue use if any skin irritation or contact reaction is observed at points of contact with the apron.
Adverse Effects
- Potential for mild skin irritation or discomfort in users sensitive to synthetic fabrics or occlusive materials.
- Discomfort or restricted movement if the neck closure is fastened too tightly.
- Overheating or sweating in very warm environments if worn for prolonged periods.
Storage Conditions

- Keep away from open flames, heaters or other high-heat sources.
- Do not store while damp or soiled; launder and dry before storage to prevent odour or microbial growth.
- Avoid sharp objects or rough surfaces that may puncture or damage the PVC fluid-proof backing.
