Nursing shoes / occupational work shoes
Description
Eliane Nurse Shoes with Velcro Straps are washable, lightweight occupational work shoes from the Safety Jogger Professional (Oxypas) range, designed specifically for nurses and other medical professionals. Each shoe weighs around 250 g and features an adjustable Velcro strap for a secure fit, an anti-slip SRC-rated outsole and an anti-static (ESD) plug for use in hospital and clinical environments. The shoes are EN ISO 20347:2012 O1 ESD SRC certified, CE marked and equipped with an anatomic removable insole that provides shock-absorbing comfort during long shifts. The smooth, wipe-clean upper allows easy cleaning, and the design is also suitable for beauty, leisure and other service industries where slip resistance, hygiene and comfort are important.

Packaging
- Pair of Eliane Nurse Shoes in selected size and colour (e.g. black, white, light blue)
- Branded Safety Jogger Professional/Oxypas shoe box or equivalent packaging
- Size, certification (EN ISO 20347:2012 O1 ESD SRC), CE mark and product information on box labelling
- Some retailers include a printed or online size guide and basic care instructions
Usage
- Select the correct size using the supplied or online size guide; ensure adequate toe room and secure heel fit without excessive pressure.
- Open the adjustable Velcro strap, place the foot fully into the shoe and close the strap so the shoe fits snugly but comfortably across the instep.
- Wear with suitable work socks that manage moisture and reduce friction; avoid overly thick socks that may compromise fit.
- Use as occupational footwear in hospital, clinic, care home, beauty or other professional environments where anti-slip and ESD footwear is recommended or required.
- If custom orthotics are needed, remove the anatomic insole and replace with prescribed insoles, ensuring there is no heel lift or instability.
- Clean the upper regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary; do not use aggressive solvents or bleach that could damage materials.
- Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature away from direct heat sources such as radiators or heaters.
- Remove the insole periodically to air and, if appropriate, gently wipe or replace, maintaining hygiene and cushioning.
- Inspect soles for wear and tear; replace shoes when the tread is significantly worn, the insole no longer provides cushioning, or the shoe becomes damaged and no longer meets slip or ESD performance.
- Do not modify the shoes (e.g., drilling holes, cutting the sole, altering the ESD plug) as this may affect their protective properties and invalidate certification.
Contraindications
- Not suitable for work environments that require safety footwear with a protective toecap compliant with EN ISO 20345 (Eliane is O1 occupational footwear without safety toe protection).
- May be unsuitable for individuals with complex foot deformities or medical conditions requiring bespoke orthopaedic footwear, unless assessed and approved by a podiatrist or clinician.
- Users with known allergies or sensitivities to synthetic leather, rubber, EVA, adhesives or textile linings should verify material compatibility before use.
- Not recommended for use on highly uneven terrain, outdoor construction sites or environments outside the scope of EN ISO 20347 O1 ESD SRC.
- Use in environments with strong chemicals, oils or solvents that exceed the outsole’s resistance may reduce performance and is not recommended without verification.
Adverse Effects
- Potential for blisters, rubbing, callus formation or discomfort if the wrong size is chosen, socks are inadequate or the shoes are not properly broken in.
- Foot, knee, hip or back discomfort if shoes are excessively worn, lack support due to a compressed insole, or are inappropriate for the user’s specific foot biomechanics.
- Increased perspiration or odour if shoes are worn for long hours without adequate airing, sock changes or cleaning.
- Rarely, contact dermatitis or irritation in users sensitive to any component material (upper, lining, insole or adhesives).
- Reduced slip resistance and increased risk of slips and falls if the outsole becomes heavily worn, contaminated with oil/grease or not cleaned as recommended.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Allow shoes to dry completely between shifts, especially if they become damp from cleaning, spills or perspiration.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to high heat sources (radiators, heaters, hot vehicle interiors) which may deform the outsole or degrade adhesives.
- Keep away from aggressive chemicals, oils and solvents that could damage the upper, insole or outsole materials.
- Store in their original shoe box or on a shoe rack to help maintain shape and protect from dust and accidental damage.
Duration
Not applicable as a medical treatment; under normal occupational use, a pair of Eliane Nurse Shoes will typically provide effective comfort and slip resistance for many months, with replacement frequency depending on wearer weight, shift length, walking distance and floor conditions.
Onset
Immediate upon wearing; slip resistance, cushioning, ESD protection and comfort benefits are experienced as soon as the shoes are correctly fitted and used.
