Footwear \u2013 Men's nursing shoes
Description
Lightweight mesh men's nursing shoes designed for healthcare and other professionals who spend long periods on their feet. The James shoe is a trainer-style, slip-on-or-toggle design with breathable mesh upper, EVA midsole, CE-marked EN ISO 20347 OB SRA slip-resistant rubber outsole, Coolmax lining and a removable anatomic insole with shock-absorbing properties. Recommended to be worn primarily as a slip-on shoe rather than relying on the elastic toggle fastening for all-day retention.
Bnefits
- Lightweight construction (approx. 250 g per shoe) to reduce fatigue during long shifts
- Breathable mesh upper with Coolmax lining to help keep feet cool and comfortable
- CE-marked and EN-tested occupational footwear (EN ISO 20347 OB SRA)
- SRA-rated anti-slip rubber outsole for improved grip on wet and dry surfaces
- Removable anatomic insole with shock-absorbing properties for added comfort
- Extra-wide, trainer-style fit designed for professional use on long shifts
- Wipe-clean upper and washable at 30 °C for easy hygiene maintenance
Indications
- Occupational footwear for male healthcare professionals such as nurses, doctors and allied health staff
- Workers who spend prolonged periods standing or walking, including nursing, hospitality, catering and cleaning roles
- Environments where SRA-rated slip-resistant occupational footwear is required
Composition
- Upper: breathable mesh textile (flexible, stretch design)
- Midsole: lightweight EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate)
- Outsole: anti-slip rubber, SRA-rated
- Lining: Coolmax performance textile lining
- Footbed: removable anatomic insole with cushioning and shock-absorbing properties
Formulation
- Trainer-style, lace-free design with elastic toggle that can be used but is recommended primarily as a slip-on fit
- Extra-wide fit occupational nursing trainer from the Oxypas / Safety Jogger Professional range
- EN ISO 20347 OB SRA occupational footwear with heel energy absorption and antistatic/ESD properties
Packaging
- Supplied as one pair of men's occupational nursing shoes
- Retail packaging typically as a shoe box, supplied via PLS Medical / Medisave UK as direct-from-manufacturer professional footwear
Usage
- Select the correct EU/UK size using the manufacturer sizing guide; the James model has an extra-wide fit.
- Wear primarily as a slip-on shoe; the elastic toggle lace is not intended to securely hold the shoe in place for an entire shift on its own.
- Use in professional environments such as hospitals, clinics, care homes, hospitality, catering and cleaning where slip-resistant occupational footwear is needed.
- Clean the upper by wiping; the shoe is washable at 30 °C. Allow to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources.
- Do not use as safety footwear in roles requiring a protective toecap, as this model is EN ISO 20347 OB (occupational, no safety toe).
Contraindications
- Not suitable where certified safety-toe protection is required (e.g. EN ISO 20345 with protective toecap).
- May be unsuitable for users who require non-mesh uppers due to local uniform or infection-control policies.
Adverse Effects
- As with any footwear, wearing an incorrect size or fit may contribute to discomfort, rubbing or blisters.
- Prolonged use in environments outside the intended occupational setting (e.g. rugged outdoor terrain) may reduce product performance and durability.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
- Allow shoes to dry completely after washing or exposure to moisture before storage.
- Do not store under heavy objects that could deform the shoe or insole.
Duration
Not applicable (occupational footwear product)
Onset
Immediate comfort and slip-resistance when correctly sized and worn
