Hypodermic Needles

Description

The Unisharp Long Blue 23G 1 1/4\ (32 mm) needle is a high-quality, single-use hypodermic needle supplied in boxes of 100. Each 23 gauge, 32 mm needle is individually blister packed and fitted with a blue colour-coded hub for easy gauge identification. Designed to fit all standard luer lock and luer slip syringes made for detachable needles, it is suitable for drawing up liquids and for injections where a 23G, 32 mm needle is clinically appropriate, including intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. The needle is manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel with a sharp lancet point and lubricant coating to support smooth skin penetration and patient comfort.

Bnefits

  • 23G, 32 mm (1 1/4 inch) needle provides a versatile option for a wide range of injection techniques, including intramuscular and subcutaneous use where this length and gauge are indicated.
  • Blue colour-coded hub in line with standard gauge colour conventions allows rapid identification of needle size in busy clinical environments.
  • Compatible with all standard luer lock and luer slip syringes designed for detachable needles, supporting flexible use across different syringe types.
  • Individually blister packed and sterile to support infection prevention and safe single-use practice.
  • High-quality, cost-effective needle suitable for frequent professional use in medical and aesthetic settings.
  • Ultra-sharp lancet point and lubricated surface help minimise insertion force and improve patient comfort during injections.

Indications

  • Drawing liquids (medications, diluents, vaccines or other injectables) into syringes prior to administration.
  • Intramuscular or subcutaneous injections when a 23G, 32 mm needle is appropriate for the patient and injection site, in line with local clinical guidelines.
  • Use in medical aesthetics (e.g. some injectable treatments) where a 23G, 32 mm detachable needle is specified by protocol.
  • General clinical applications that specifically require a 23 gauge, 32 mm hypodermic needle attached to a compatible syringe.

Composition

  • Medical-grade stainless steel hypodermic needle cannula.
  • Silicone or similar biocompatible lubricant coating on the needle to reduce insertion friction (as specified for Unisharp range).
  • Plastic needle hub (typically polypropylene) colour-coded blue for 23G.
  • Protective needle cap (plastic) to maintain sterility prior to use.
  • Latex-free construction (no natural rubber latex in needle or packaging components, as specified for modern Unisharp needles).

Formulation

  • Sterile, single-use hypodermic needle.
  • Gauge: 23G.
  • Needle length: 32 mm (approximately 1 1/4 inch).
  • Hub colour: Blue (23G).
  • Connection type: Detachable needle for luer slip and luer lock syringes.
  • Individually blister packed to maintain sterility until point of use.

Packaging

  • Box of 100 Unisharp Long Blue 23G 32 mm needles.
  • Each needle is individually sterile blister packed for single use.
  • Outer carton labelled with product name, gauge, length, brand, quantity, lot number and expiry date.

Usage

  • For professional use only by trained healthcare or aesthetic practitioners in accordance with local regulations and clinical guidelines.
  • Inspect the blister pack before use; do not use if packaging is damaged, opened or compromised.
  • Attach the needle securely to a compatible luer slip or luer lock syringe, ensuring a firm connection before drawing up or administering medication.
  • Maintain aseptic technique at all times when handling the needle and syringe and when performing injections.
  • Use the needle for a single patient procedure only; do not attempt to straighten, clean, or reuse the needle.
  • After use, do not recap the needle unless mandated by a clearly defined safety procedure; immediately dispose of the entire syringe-and-needle assembly into an approved sharps container.
  • Follow local sharps safety policies and infection-prevention protocols for handling and disposal.

Contraindications

  • Do not use if the sterile blister pack is damaged, opened or shows evidence of contamination.
  • Not for use by untrained individuals or outside appropriate clinical or aesthetic protocols.
  • Not suitable when another gauge or length is required based on patient factors (e.g. body habitus, injection site, medication viscosity) or clinical guidelines.
  • Do not reuse; reuse of single-use needles significantly increases the risk of cross-infection and needle-stick injury.

Adverse Effects

  • Local pain, bruising, minor bleeding or discomfort at the injection site, consistent with the use of hypodermic needles.
  • Risk of infection at the injection site if aseptic technique is not followed.
  • Risk of needle-stick injury to the user or others if safe-handling and disposal procedures are not adhered to.
  • In rare cases, localised allergic or sensitivity reactions to metals or other materials in the needle assembly in susceptible individuals.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a clean, dry environment at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sources of excessive heat or moisture.
  • Keep needles in their original outer carton until required to protect from physical damage and contamination.
  • Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
  • Keep out of reach of children and unauthorised persons.
