Description
The Unisharp Long Blue 23G 1 1/4\ (32 mm) needle is a high-quality, single-use hypodermic needle supplied in boxes of 100. Each 23 gauge, 32 mm needle is individually blister packed and fitted with a blue colour-coded hub for easy gauge identification. Designed to fit all standard luer lock and luer slip syringes made for detachable needles, it is suitable for drawing up liquids and for injections where a 23G, 32 mm needle is clinically appropriate, including intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. The needle is manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel with a sharp lancet point and lubricant coating to support smooth skin penetration and patient comfort.

Usage

- Attach the needle securely to a compatible luer slip or luer lock syringe, ensuring a firm connection before drawing up or administering medication.
- Maintain aseptic technique at all times when handling the needle and syringe and when performing injections.
- Use the needle for a single patient procedure only; do not attempt to straighten, clean, or reuse the needle.
- After use, do not recap the needle unless mandated by a clearly defined safety procedure; immediately dispose of the entire syringe-and-needle assembly into an approved sharps container.

Contraindications
- Do not use if the sterile blister pack is damaged, opened or shows evidence of contamination.
- Not for use by untrained individuals or outside appropriate clinical or aesthetic protocols.
- Not suitable when another gauge or length is required based on patient factors (e.g. body habitus, injection site, medication viscosity) or clinical guidelines.
- Do not reuse; reuse of single-use needles significantly increases the risk of cross-infection and needle-stick injury.
Adverse Effects
- Local pain, bruising, minor bleeding or discomfort at the injection site, consistent with the use of hypodermic needles.
- Risk of infection at the injection site if aseptic technique is not followed.
- Risk of needle-stick injury to the user or others if safe-handling and disposal procedures are not adhered to.

Storage Conditions
- Store in a clean, dry environment at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sources of excessive heat or moisture.
- Keep needles in their original outer carton until required to protect from physical damage and contamination.
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
- Keep out of reach of children and unauthorised persons.
