Description
Nilaqua Alcohol Free Foaming Hand Sanitiser Apple & Jasmine is a 55 ml pocket-sized, alcohol-free foaming hand sanitiser designed for everyday use by adults and children. The formulation provides rapid, broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, killing up to 99.9999% of bacteria and a wide range of viruses, spores and fungi while remaining kind to the skin. It offers up to 6 hours of residual protection on the hands, is non-flammable, and is suitable for users and environments where alcohol-based products are undesirable (e.g. sensitive or eczema-prone skin, religious or occupational restrictions). The Apple & Jasmine version adds a fresh, sweet apple fragrance with hints of jasmine to make frequent hand sanitising more pleasant. The product is supplied in a foaming pump bottle made from partially recycled, recyclable plastic.

Composition
- Benzalkonium chloride – quaternary ammonium compound providing primary biocidal (antimicrobial) action.
- Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride – quaternary ammonium compound contributing to broad-spectrum antimicrobial efficacy.
- Aqua (water) – solvent and base of the formulation.
- C12–14 alkyldimethylamine oxides (amine oxides) – surfactant system aiding cleansing and foam generation.
- Sodium ethylhexyl sulfate or similar mild anionic surfactant – contributes to foaming and spreadability.
- Humectants and skin-conditioning agents (e.g. betaine, glycols) – help reduce dryness and improve skin feel.
- Apple & Jasmine fragrance – provides the characteristic scented profile.
- Stabilisers and preservatives as required for product stability and microbiological safety (exact full INCI varies by pack size and batch and is printed on product labelling).

Usage
- Apply an adequate amount of foam (typically 1–2 pumps) to dry hands.
- Rub thoroughly over all surfaces of the hands, including between fingers and around nails, for at least 30 seconds until hands are fully covered.
- Allow hands to air dry; do not rinse off with water or wipe away before the product has dried.
- Reapply as needed throughout the day, especially after potential contamination, using the product as a supplement to routine handwashing with soap and water.
- For external use on intact skin only.
- Avoid contact with eyes; if product enters the eyes, rinse immediately and thoroughly with clean water.
- Supervise use in children to ensure correct application and to avoid accidental ingestion or eye contact.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity or allergy to quaternary ammonium compounds (e.g. benzalkonium chloride, didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride), surfactants, fragrance components or any other ingredient in the formulation.
- Do not use on broken, heavily damaged or extensively irritated skin unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Not intended for use on mucous membranes or in the eyes.
- Not for ingestion; if swallowed, seek medical advice and show the product label where possible.
Adverse Effects
- Generally well tolerated; however, as with all topical products, some individuals may experience mild transient skin reactions such as dryness, redness or irritation, particularly with very frequent use.
- Eye contact may cause temporary irritation, stinging or redness; thorough irrigation with water is recommended.
- Rarely, allergic contact dermatitis or more pronounced irritation may occur; in such cases, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
Storage Conditions
- Store in the original, tightly closed container at room temperature in a cool, dry place.
- Keep away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Although non-flammable, standard good practice is to store away from strong oxidising agents and incompatible chemicals.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Do not decant into unlabelled containers; always retain original labelling for safety information.
Duration
Provides residual antimicrobial protection on the skin for up to approximately 6 hours after each proper application; intended for repeated use throughout the day as required for ongoing hand hygiene.
