Description

Conti® Post Toileting Cleansing Wet Wipes (Fragrance Free) are fully dispersible, cellulose-based wet wipes designed specifically for post-toileting intimate hygiene and everyday continence care. Each wipe is plastic free and made from a cellulose/viscose blend that delivers a soft, cloth-like feel while remaining strong in use. The dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and fragrance-free formulation provides long-lasting moisture and helps maintain the skin’s natural pH balance. The wipes are EDANA GD4 flushability compliant, macerator-friendly and suitable for safe, hygienic disposal in a toilet or hospital macerator, offering a more sustainable alternative to conventional plastic-containing wipes for professional healthcare environments.

Usage

  • Ensure hands are clean before starting the cleansing procedure (wash or sanitise according to local protocol).

  • If the patient uses continence pads or garments, remove them following local policy and position the patient safely and comfortably on a toilet, commode or bed.
  • Gently cleanse the perineal area from front to back, wiping away from the urethra towards the buttocks in one direction only to minimise the risk of cross-contamination.
  • Use additional wipes as required until the area is visibly clean, using a new wipe for each pass if necessary.
  • After cleansing, allow the skin to dry briefly if needed; apply barrier cream or other prescribed products in line with local protocol.
  • Dispose of each used wipe immediately by placing it into the toilet or approved macerator, following local guidance (do not dispose of large quantities at once).
  • Do not flush outer packaging; discard the empty pack as general or clinical waste according to local policy.
  • Reseal the pack securely after each use to help prevent the remaining wipes from drying out.
  • Wash or sanitise hands after completing the procedure.
