It features a durable, hygienic plastic housing, colour-coded front for easy product recognition, a push-style pump action for controlled dosing, and a front window to check fill level. - Product and packaging labelled with brand (Cutan / SC Johnson Professional), model/description, and manufacturer and code (PROB01HCMC).
Usage
- Select an appropriate wall location in a healthcare or clinical area where staff can easily access moisturising cream (e.g. near handwash stations but not directly above sinks to avoid excessive splashing).
- Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry and structurally sound.
- Open the dispenser cover using the supplied key.
- Fix the dispenser to the wall using screws and wall plugs through the mounting holes, or, if supplied and suitable for the surface, apply the provided strong adhesive strips as per manufacturer guidance.
- Install a compatible Cutan 1L Moisturising Cream cartridge by seating it correctly into the dispenser, aligning the pump with the lever mechanism.
- Close the cover and lock with the key to secure the cartridge.
- Prime the dispenser by pressing the lever several times until moisturising cream is dispensed.
- For routine use, users should place hands under the nozzle and press the lever to dispense a suitable amount of cream, then follow the printed 7-step moisturising instructions.
- Clean external surfaces of the dispenser regularly with an appropriate detergent/disinfectant wipe as part of routine environmental cleaning.
- Inspect the dispenser periodically for signs of damage or wear (e.g. cracked housing, stiff mechanism) and repair or replace if required.
- When the cartridge is empty, unlock and open the dispenser, remove the used cartridge, dispose of according to local waste procedures, insert a new cartridge, then relock and re-prime.
Contraindications
- Not intended for use with non-compatible cartridges or products (e.g. soaps or sanitisers that are not in the correct 1L ProLine/7 Circles format).
- Should not be installed on unstable, damp, or unsuitable surfaces where adhesion or screw fixing cannot reliably support the dispenser.
- Do not use if the dispenser housing, lever, or locking mechanism is damaged such that safe operation or secure wall mounting cannot be assured.
- Not a medical device and not for direct patient support or load-bearing purposes.
Adverse Effects
- The dispenser itself is not expected to cause direct adverse effects when installed and used correctly.
- If incorrectly mounted or overloaded (e.g. pulled on or struck), there is a risk of the unit becoming loose or falling, with potential minor risk of impact injury or equipment damage.
- Poor cleaning or maintenance practices could contribute indirectly to environmental contamination if surfaces are not regularly disinfected in accordance with local infection control policies.
Storage Conditions
- Store unopened dispensers in a clean, dry area at normal room temperature before installation.
- Protect from excessive heat, direct sunlight and physical damage during storage and transport.
- Once installed, ensure the dispenser is used in indoor environments protected from direct water jets, steam and highly corrosive chemicals that could degrade the plastic or fixings.
- Keep spare units and keys in a secure location to prevent unauthorised use or tampering.
Duration
Not applicable as a medical treatment; the dispenser is a reusable hardware accessory intended for long-term daily use as part of an ongoing skin care and hand hygiene programme, with cartridges replaced as needed.
Onset
Not applicable in pharmacological terms; once installed and primed, the dispenser provides immediate functional benefit by delivering controlled doses of moisturising cream on demand.
