The Drug Tariff Dressing Pack (sterile) Spec 10 - Single is a single-use, sterile wound care pack designed for aseptic procedures in clinical and community settings. Composition

Usage
- Check the expiry date and integrity of the sterile packaging before use; do not use if damaged or expired.
- Prepare the patient and ensure appropriate hand hygiene and PPE are used according to local policy.
- Open the outer sterile pouch carefully using aseptic technique.
- Arrange the contents to create a sterile field using the water-repellent sterile sheet.
- Use the absorbent paper towel, cotton wool balls, swabs and dressing pad as required to cleanse and dress the wound, following clinical protocols.
- Maintain non-touch technique, using sterile instruments and gloves where indicated.
- After the procedure, dispose of all used components, including packaging, as clinical waste according to local infection control policies.
- Each pack is single-use only; do not attempt to resterilise or reuse any item.
Contraindications
- Do not use if sterile packaging is damaged, opened or past its expiry date.
- Not suitable where a specialised or procedure-specific dressing pack is required beyond Drug Tariff Spec 10 contents.
- Patients or staff with known sensitivities to any component materials (e.g. cotton, certain non-woven materials) should avoid use or use alternative products.
Adverse Effects

Storage Conditions

Duration
Intended for the duration of a single dressing or wound-care procedure (typically a few minutes). A new sterile pack should be used for each aseptic wound-care episode.
