Bnefits
- UK-manufactured 2-ply tissue offers a balance of softness and absorbency for patient comfort and effective surface protection.
- 20" width is suitable for standard treatment couches and examination tables in clinics and aesthetic practices.
- Perforated along the length of the roll to allow clean, consistent tearing between couch sections, reducing waste.
- Made from 100% recycled paper, supporting environmentally conscious purchasing while maintaining performance.
- CHSA approved, helping ensure consistent roll length and quality in line with industry standards.
- Shrink-wrapped packaging enhances hygiene and makes rolls easier to store and transport.
- Supplied as a cost-effective case of 9 rolls, ideal for busy clinics requiring regular couch roll replacement.
Indications
- Covering examination and treatment couches in clinics, aesthetic practices and other healthcare settings to improve hygiene and patient comfort.
- Providing a disposable barrier between patients and couch surfaces to help reduce cross-contamination.
- General-purpose disposable paper cover for trolleys, procedure tables and similar surfaces where a protective layer is required.
- Use during non-sterile procedures, consultations, examinations and aesthetic treatments where couch protection is needed.
Composition
- 100% recycled paper tissue.
- Two-ply construction (2 layers of tissue per sheet).
Formulation
- Disposable 2-ply paper couch roll supplied on a cardboard core.
- White tissue paper, perforated at regular intervals along the length of the roll.
Packaging
- Case of 9 x white 20" 2-ply couch rolls.
- Each roll individually shrink-wrapped for hygiene and ease of storage.
- Supplied in an outer carton suitable for clinic store rooms or stock rooms.
Usage
- Place the couch roll onto a suitable dispenser or holder at the head or side of the treatment couch, ensuring free rotation of the roll.
- Pull the paper along the length of the couch and tear along the perforation so that the surface is fully covered before each patient.
- Dispose of used sections of couch roll after each patient in accordance with local clinical waste policies.
- Avoid use as a sterile drape in procedures requiring a sterile field; use appropriate sterile draping products where indicated.
- Keep rolls away from direct sources of flame or high heat, as paper is combustible.
- Replace the roll when nearly finished to ensure an uninterrupted supply during clinics.
- Store unused rolls in their shrink-wrap until needed to maintain cleanliness.
Contraindications
- Do not rely on couch rolls as a substitute for sterile drapes in procedures requiring a sterile field.
- Not suitable for use where impermeable fluid barriers are required (e.g. procedures with significant fluid exposure) without additional protective layers.
- Use with caution around open flames, cautery devices or other ignition sources due to flammability of paper.
- Individuals with known severe paper dust sensitivities should be managed according to local occupational health recommendations.
Adverse Effects
- Very low risk product; potential minor skin irritation in extremely sensitive individuals due to contact with paper or paper dust.
- Paper dust may cause mild respiratory irritation in some users if used or handled in poorly ventilated areas.
- Risk of slips or trips if discarded couch roll is left on the floor instead of being disposed of properly.
- Combustion risk if paper comes into contact with open flames or high heat sources.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a clean, dry environment away from moisture to prevent degradation of the paper.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and excessive heat sources.
- Maintain the rolls in their shrink-wrap until use to help keep them clean.
- Stack cartons in a stable manner to avoid crushing or deformation of rolls.
- Keep away from open flames and strong ignition sources due to flammability of paper.
Duration
Single-use per patient contact; a fresh section of couch roll should be used for each patient or procedure.
Onset
Immediate hygienic coverage of the couch surface when applied; protective effect lasts until the section is removed and disposed of.
