Disposable FFP3 NR D respirator face masks (unvalved)

Description

Handanhy FFP3 Face Masks (HY9330) are premium, non-valved FFP3 NR D disposable respirator masks supplied in a box of 20. They are BSI-certified filtering half masks that conform to EN149:2001 + A1:2009 and are designed to protect against infectious respiratory diseases, bacteria and mechanically generated dry and liquid airborne particles. The ultralight, fold-flat 3D duck-bill design with latex-free head straps, adjustable nose clip and soft inner nose foam provides a secure seal and comfortable fit for a wide range of face shapes. Each mask is individually hygienically packed, making them ideal as recommended medical PPE for primary, outpatient, community and social care settings, as well as laboratory, industrial and general respiratory protection use.

Bnefits

  • FFP3 NR D rating for high-level protection against airborne particles, including infectious respiratory aerosols and bacteria
  • Conforms to EN149:2001 + A1:2009 and BSI-certified for performance and quality
  • Ultralight, fold-flat 3D design with a large filtration area for easier storage and comfort
  • Non-valved design helps minimise outward emission of respiratory droplets from the wearer
  • Designed to fit comfortably on a wide range of face shapes and stay secure during use
  • Latex-free head straps and smooth polypropylene inner lining for enhanced wearer comfort
  • Adjustable nose clip and soft inner nose foam improve facial seal and reduce fogging of eyewear
  • Individually hygienically wrapped masks support good infection-prevention practice
  • Recommended PPE for primary, outpatient, community and social care settings and widely used in healthcare

Indications

  • Respiratory protection for healthcare workers in primary care, outpatient clinics, community and social care settings
  • Protection against infectious respiratory diseases and bacteria transmitted via aerosols and droplets
  • Protection against mechanically generated dry and liquid airborne particles (e.g. dusts, fibres, mists) up to FFP3 exposure limits
  • Use in laboratories, industrial environments and workplaces where FFP3-level filtration is required by risk assessment
  • Use as part of PPE ensembles in situations with a high risk of airborne biological or particulate exposure

Composition

  • Six-layer filtration structure with low breathing resistance, typically including:
  • Outer layer: Polypropylene spun-bonded non-woven fabric
  • Pre-filter layer: Polyester fibre filter fabric
  • Multiple (typically three) layers of low-resistance polypropylene melt-blown filter media
  • Inner layer: Polypropylene spun-bonded non-woven fabric for a smooth lining against the skin
  • Adjustable metal nose clip fully embedded with no exposed sharp metal parts
  • Soft inner nose foam for added comfort and improved fit
  • Latex-free head straps
  • Nose clip, foam and other small components fixed within the mask body

Formulation

  • Disposable, non-valved FFP3 NR D filtering half mask respirator
  • Fold-flat 3D duck-bill design
  • Non-sterile, single-use PPE for respiratory protection

Packaging

  • Box of 20 Handanhy HY9330 FFP3 NR D disposable respirator masks
  • Each mask individually hygienically packed
  • Retail/clinical outer carton printed with certification details, instructions and BSI notified-body information

Usage

  • Check the mask and individual packaging before use; do not use if the packaging is damaged or the mask is visibly soiled or deformed.
  • Wash or sanitise hands before handling the mask.
  • Open the individual pack and unfold the mask into its 3D shape.
  • Position the mask over the nose and mouth with the nose clip at the top and the head straps positioned for the back of the head and neck (as illustrated on the packaging).
  • Place the mask on the face, pull the head straps over the head and position them so that the mask sits comfortably and securely, with one strap high on the back of the head and one around the neck below the ears (if so designed).
  • Mould the nose clip firmly to the shape of the nose using both hands to ensure a good seal and check that the soft nose foam sits comfortably against the nose.
  • Perform a fit check each time you don the mask: cover the mask with both hands and exhale sharply; if air leaks around the nose or edges, adjust the nose clip, straps and mask position until no leakage is felt.
  • Avoid touching the front of the mask during use. If it becomes damaged, difficult to breathe through or visibly contaminated, leave the contaminated area and replace it with a new mask.
  • Remove the mask by handling the straps from behind the head, avoiding contact with the front of the mask. Dispose of the used mask safely according to local infection-control and waste-disposal policies.
  • Single use only; do not wash, clean or reuse. Follow any additional instructions provided on the Handanhy/Medisave packaging or datasheet.

Contraindications

  • Not suitable for use in atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen (not an oxygen-supplying respirator).
  • Not suitable for protection against gases or vapours; intended only for particulate hazards as defined by EN149:2001 + A1:2009.
  • Not to be used by individuals with facial hair or other conditions that prevent an adequate seal between the mask and the face.
  • Users with respiratory, cardiac or other medical conditions that may make breathing through a respirator difficult should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before use.
  • Do not use if the mask fails a fit check, is damaged, deformed or has exceeded its expiry date.
  • Not intended for children or users with faces too small to obtain a proper seal.

Adverse Effects

  • Possible discomfort, pressure marks or irritation on the face or nose bridge during prolonged wear.
  • Potential for increased breathing resistance, especially during heavy physical activity or towards the end of mask life.
  • Very rare risk of contact dermatitis or allergic skin reactions to mask materials in sensitised individuals; discontinue use and seek medical advice if persistent redness, itching or rash occurs.
  • Incorrect use, poor fit or reuse may reduce protective performance and increase the risk of exposure to airborne hazards.

Storage Conditions

  • Store in a cool, dry, clean environment away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
  • Keep masks in their original packaging until use to protect from dust, moisture and contamination.
  • Avoid crushing or deforming the masks during storage; do not store under heavy objects.
  • Observe the manufacturer’s stated temperature and humidity limits and do not use masks beyond their marked expiry date.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Duration

Single-use disposable respirator; wear time is limited to a single shift or according to local infection-control guidance, risk assessment and manufacturer\u2019s recommendations. Replace immediately if damaged, soiled or if breathing resistance increases noticeably.

Onset

Immediate upon correct fitting and achieving an effective facial seal; FFP3-level filtration is provided for the duration of proper use.
