Instrapac Dressing Scissors 5\ Sharp/Blunt Disposable are sterile, single-use dressing scissors designed for cutting small to medium wound dressings, bandages and similar materials. Usage

  • Inspect the sterile pouch before use; do not use if the pack is damaged, opened or wet.
  • Open the pouch aseptically according to local infection-control procedures.
  • Remove the scissors using appropriate aseptic technique and avoid touching non-sterile surfaces before use.
  • Use the scissors to cut wound dressings, bandages or similar materials as indicated, keeping the blunt tip towards the patient’s skin where practical for safety.
  • Do not use the scissors for cutting hard materials or for purposes outside their intended clinical use.
  • After a single patient use, dispose of the scissors immediately as clinical/sharps or contaminated metal waste in line with local policy.
  • Do not clean, reprocess or reuse; the product is intended strictly for single use.

Contraindications

  • Do not use if the sterile pack is opened, damaged or shows signs of compromised sterility.
  • Do not reuse; reprocessing or reusing the scissors may increase the risk of infection, corrosion or mechanical failure.
  • Not intended for use on or within sterile body cavities as a primary surgical cutting instrument unless specifically allowed by local protocol.
  • Do not use on materials or tissues outside the intended indications (e.g. very tough materials that could damage the blades).
  • Do not use if the scissors appear bent, corroded, blunt, or otherwise damaged on visual inspection.

Adverse Effects
